Magical place to stay! The rooms are impeccably clean and thoughtfully equipped with every comfort you could possibly need. We stayed in a family duplex, which offered plenty of space, including two showers, a jacuzzi bathtub and two toilets. Our room also had a fireplace that was prepared for us every day, all we had to do was light it and enjoy. The views were absolutely stunning, and it’s a wonderful location for exploring the surrounding nature. There is so much wilderness around, and the kids loved the animal encounters, we spotted deer and found many different animal footprints in the snow. It was such a special experience for them. The restaurant was excellent, incredible food and truly outstanding service. There is a great selection of delicious local produce, and the pastries and jams are all homemade. You can really feel the attention to every single detail. Highly recommended 💖
We spent a night en route to Austria. The views from the hotel were spectacular, to Mont Blanc, Chaine de Aravis and Lac de Annecy. The establishment has obviously had good money spent on it and was well spent. Beautifully decorated and well appointed. The staff are charming and very efficient. The restaurant provides imaginative and tasty food. A well sourced wine list. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of offerings. A 'bon addresse'.
Arrived to a room infested by ants. All throughout the curtains and around the bed. We requested a room change & the owner (useless old blonde lady) told me, “the hotel is full so this is the only option. You can either have this room or stay elsewhere. These insects are beyond my control”. I requested for additional cleaning, which occurred while we waited outside. On the balcony of the room were used cigarettes from a previous guests. A nice French touch. This was my second stay, and unfortunately will be the last. The arrogant owner is running this beautiful chateau into the ground. If you’re lucky you may find the owner or her daughter on the front deck, pretending to be high class French aristocracy. They treat the hotel guests as unwashed servants who should be grateful to be blessed by their very presence. There is a very high turnover of staff owing to mismanagement. A quick conversation with the migrant workers will provide ample information on how they are mistreated by the owners. The restaurant serves extremely expensive reheated nonsense. The chef is not French, African. Perhaps from a French colony. The dining room seems to have been made intentionally uncomfortable. My bet is the owners husband comes from money, and this is their little side project to milk foreign travellers as they try to enjoy what is left of France. The incompetence of the management/owners can be felt throughout the hotel and associated experience. Vive la France.
Amazing experience! We stayed here for 2 nights in December and it was magical. The hotel is much better in person than what's seen on the pictures. Everything in the rooms was of high standards m And the views are unmatchable. One of the best stays we have had so far!
We spent 4 days over Christmas here in a junior suite so benefitted from the most fabulous Alpine views. The food is excellent. There is a bar but it is never manned or open, or so it seems. It would be nice to enjoy a pre dinner aperitif but you are only offered one once you sit down at your dinner table. You then get your drink followed very quickly by the meal so no time in between to enjoy the aperitif. If the bar were opened there would be a more sociable atmosphere amongst the guests. Friendly and efficient staff make you welcome. This is a great place to visit with family or friends.
Everything is great, unfortunately the pool and the garden are under renovation. The breakfast is really rich with pastries, not much of savory but most of them are really good. The electrical charge station number 3 seems to have problem and may need to be fix.
Together with my lovely wife Yvonne, our son Deniz and his wife Claudia, we spent the last 12 days at the breathtaking Chateau des Avenieres. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by an atmosphere of pure magic.||||The chateau itself is picture-perfect, a real fairytale castle that fits perfectly into its surroundings. The surroundings are breathtaking, with rolling hills and picturesque villages. The service was truly exemplary; the staff were attentive, friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible.||||Our suite was an oasis of luxury and comfort, with beautiful details and breathtaking views. The food was a culinary feast, with delicious dishes prepared with passion and craftsmanship. The facilities, from the gym to the gardens, were perfectly maintained and offered plenty of opportunities for relaxation and fun.||||But what really made this stay unforgettable were the people. The warm hospitality of the staff and other guests created an atmosphere of conviviality and togetherness. We really felt at home.||||In short, Chateau des Avenieres is an absolute must for anyone looking for an unforgettable experience, a home away from home. ||We are already looking forward to our next visit!
Great location, fine dining food, very nice staff. Location very quiet, mountains view, and close to Annecy Not a cheap place though
