We really enjoyed staying here because we didnt want to have to pay the prices of staying within the centre of Paris and this was a perfect little location. With an Auchan literally outside your door and the metro/bus station a 3 minute walk away, this made for a perfect place to rest our heads before going out again. The rooms were comfortable (you get what you pay for so dont expect 5 stars) but every day our bed was changed and fresh towels which was really nice. All in all if you are looking to save some cash on a place to stay for a few days and you dont mind a pretty thin mattress then this is perfect!
The hotel is at a good location if you're willing to use the public transportation. Most of the famous places are within 30 minutes of travel and CDG airport is within 1 hour. There is a shopping center right next to it, but the supermarket inside is always having a huge queue. The hotel is okay, the room was clean, the sheets and towels were nice. There was no AC in my room, so I could not really sleep. If I opened the window to decrease the room's temperature a bit, I had problems with the noise. There is a huge highway right next to the hotel. If I closed the window, the noise was gone, but I was sweating all night. This place is definitely not suggested during the summer. The safety is okay, I haven't had any incidents and I was always coming back late to the hotel. The breakfast was good with nice pastry, coffee and juices. The other guests were very noisy and the rooms were not soundproof. The wifi was excellent. If there would be an AC, it would be a very nice place.
My friends know I like a ‘nice’ hotel and I moaned for months previous to our weekend away that I wouldn’t be getting my Carrie Bradshaw moment in Paris at this hotel, not at this price anyway!! My friend had booked it and I was dreading it. We were a group of 7 girls on a weekend trip. We knew the hotel was a metro ride from Paris centre. We had researched the metro station, literally a 2 minute walk away. Safe enough all walking together. Upon arrival the hotel was quite pleasing. The lobby is modernly refurbished, the staff were pleasant enough. Safety deposit boxes are available behind the reception desk, at no added cost. We had 3 rooms booked, all were next door to each other, always a bonus. We got into the lift to go up to our rooms. When the lift doors open on our level you do feel as if you’ve gone back in time 20 years and slightly mislead by entrance decor, the hallway walls and carpet need modernising. The room itself was so small, so small it was hilariously funny, but they have made great use of the tiny space. There was a rail to hang clothes on, but unfortunately no clothes hangers, so we used the shelf’s in the ‘hallway’. We were literally there to get dressed in and sleep in. Most importantly, the bed and pillows were of a good standard, had 2 good nights sleep. The bedroom, bathroom and bedding were all clean. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom and body wash/shampoo provided. I have to say there was a real lack of plug sockets, it took us 5 minutes to find one, behind the curtain of course! And no where near a mirror, which made styling our hair for a nights out interesting! For the price it did the job and the price even included breakfast. Cereals, pastries, cakes, boiled eggs, toast yoghurt and a range of drinks, tea, coffee, juices. Something for everyone.
After we arrived with taxi, we went to this hostel. We thought it is going to be fine because Paris is expensive and it will be good just like in Amsterdam. Then we saw the room, I was just left speechless. If you gonna own a hotel, hostel or motel, even for a cheap price, it doesn’t mean you don’t need to care of the place. Each hotel is representing the owner and this hostel made it clear enough that the owner is a slacker and I wasn’t wrong. When we first entered the room, it smelled so bad and later we found out it was one of the blankets. The upper bed wasn’t prepared and was empty. We had to ask for additional sheets. Speaking of sheets one had a bleached period stain and all of them had black fabric spots, meaning that they washed the sheets with black clothes. In the upper bed, between the metal rod and the wood was dirt and dust. The floor has weird black spots and when we came there was a cigarette ash on the floor. The only positive thing is the shower, even if it wasn’t the cleanest shower, it still was good compared to the everything in this hostel. At the other hand, the towels smelled bad. We put one towel on the floor, so we don’t touch the dirty floor after showering. When we came back from trip it wasn’t there, and we thing they just picked it up and one of us just used it. The last thing is the weak breakfast, but that ok. Overall, I would recommend this hostel even to my worst enemy. That would be just cruel.
Small rooms as expected in Paris. They look nice at first glance, but once you spend a little time you realize it was redecorated over problems and it is starting to come through. The staff for the most part ignore you. I had to watch 2 front desk employees chit chat for 10 minutes before they would acknowledge I was there waiting for a laundry bag. I was told they don't have and given a trash bag to use. I brought down my laundry and was told it would be ready the next day. Following day not ready but told definitely tomorrow. Next day I asked again and they handed me my laundry bag and said they forgot to send it out. To bad. HVAC system never worked and towels so thin they are drenched before you are dry. I won't return and can't recommend for anyone.
One of the best budget hotel in the whole Paris. Not so expensive compared to others hotel in the town and just nearly to Metro 🚇 which goes to inner city, shopping mall and pubs. Reception is quite good and rooms are very cozy with daily laundry service. Staffs are very friendly & breakfast is very healthy with variety of options. Definitely look for them if I visit Paris in near future 😊😊 ohhh and wifi is super fast too 😉😁
We are regular visitors since 5 years. We initially chose this hotel because of it's quick to reach garage near the highway.||During our last visit on the 19th of April 2019, we noticed the following changes:||The hotel personnel doesn't speak any other language than french, I understand that I'm in France, but I expect better service than this from Ibis. The hotel staff is friendly though. ||The restaurant isnt open in the afternoon, and there is no possibility to order anything to eat during the day. Funny thing is they do advertise throughout the hotel with posters that you can order at anytime. Lucky that there is a big shopping mall near the hotel, but it's just sloppy communication. ||The state of the rooms is bad. There is mold in the showers (we stayed in room 674)||The bar isn't open at night. There is personnel near it, but they were focused more on their friends who came over and just left the lights off||There were beggars in the lobby of the hotel, begging for cigarettes and money. ||In conclusion: we won't be visiting this hotel anymore. Its just in a terrible state. |
The floor was never swept. No bin liner in bathroom bin. Toilet not cleaned. Not enough towels on arrival. No pillow or blankets for 3rd bed. Soap in bathroom 3/4 empty on arrival. On top of that, they charged us an extra 20 euros at reception more than the agreed priced when booked online.
