Very modern, nice train station, all very well organized. On the platform they will tell you near which letter to stand depending on your train car number. The toilets 🚽 are free of charge. They have no airconditioner but all the time they put steamed water from the top of the roof down. It is nice and refreshing! We took 1 class on 2 floor on the fast train (3 hours ) to the Paris. I loved this train TVG inoui, very comfortable sits, , you can order food online from the bistrot and pick up in the train cart 4. And food was so delicious I was very surprised!!! On the 1 floor place they have place to put your big heavy luggage 🧳 as you enter the train. Also spaces are in the 2 floor and for smaller items (backpack etc) above your heads.
Very clean and airy. Straightforward signage. The convenience store is nice, with friendly staff. After dealing with the stress of the labyrinth that is the Paris metro, this was delightful. We were originally supposed to stop in Marseille for 40 minutes, but instead stopped here for an hour. Thank goodness! We were a bit worried about Marseille, since we’ve heard it can be sketchy, so this was a relief. If you have to make a stop between your TGV and a local train, this station is great.
An amazing brand new railway station. Clean and calm. Indeed, a 25-min drive from the town. A totally new railway station experience
Super new and tidy train station. The name can cause confusion though as it's just outside of Nimes and only accessible by car and public transport. It's in the middle of nowhere so don't expect to walk to or from it. Car rental is available with a 2 mins walk from the station. Lots of seating and sockets everywhere. Wifi available and washrooms are large and clean. There's even one for baby changing. There's also a Relay store here which has all your typical convenient store needs, books, food, drinks, snacks etc. There are also people available to help you figure out any train and platform questions. I think the previous reviews are forgetting that this is in a more country side area and are expecting the world...
A modern location, benefits from all facilities, elevator, wc, car rentals, Relay
In the middle of nowhere, the station is remote and far from Nîmes, not much to do in the station, but at least transferring between TGV and TER is quite simple and the station is quite clean
The station itself isn't bad, it looks great. The issue is that the job of a station isn't to look great. This station is really poorly connected to the city center. What used to be a 3h trip to Paris is now a 3h30+ trip, if you're lucky. Added to that, the only food offered is Relay, which is overpriced and basic. Inexcusable for a station you may be stuck at for hours (as I am now).
This station is neither near Nîmes nor le Pont du Gard: it's in the middle of nowhere. My SatNav took me down a narrow farm track to get to it. Fortunately there is a train connection to take you back to civilisation and the "real" Nîmes station (which is actually handily located in Nîmes itself). Anyway, I suppose Nîmes Pont-du-Gard has better connections than Aix-en-Provence TGV (another station totally isolated), which has no local train connections to anywhere useful, though it is closer to Marseilles airport (signposted on the roads as 'Marignane' but actually now called 'Marseilles Provence') than the railway station in Marseilles: sorry if I'm confusing you... I digress. Back to Nîmes Pont-du-Gard station: don't arrive too early as there's nothing there apart from a 'Relay' shop. Don't expect to get a drink until you board your train. Bon voyage.
