Very nice and welcoming place. Booking is a must. Don't expect 5 stars sitting, but clearly a 5 Stars food, view and service. What else !

Great stop to discover fresh fruits de mer. Simple but good! A couple of tables with great view on the sea.

Seafood and shellfish doesn’t get fresher than this 😃 I’m so glad we discovered this little gem - a seafood farm which offers small platters of seafood - we had oysters and possibly the best prawns I have eaten in years. This is a working establishment, so it’s not a luxury venue, but the shellfish is incredible. Sorry I am writing in English, but I only speak basic French, and I wouldn’t do it justice. The owners are lovely and so friendly - thank you for such a lovely experience. J’espère que nous reviendrons 😃

If you’re staying in Carantec you just have to visit this wonderful place. You can buy direct or sit for a menu degustation. There are no frills but (in my opinion) this is the perfect way to eat shellfish. Sat on metal tables next to oyster beds on the Baie de Morlaix with a bottle of something agreeable and some fresh shellfish (lobster, crab, prawns are all available amongst others) is a wonderful thing. Les Viviers de Carantec also sells wine and we had a lovely bottle of Muscadet which was reasonably priced (ranging Euro15-20). The owners made us feel so at home and were incredibly patient with our Franglais Absolutely no pretentiousness and owners who are clearly proud of their product. We were even given a tour of the tanks the live lobsters and crabs are kept. You can also buy mussels and clams and many other types of fish to take/away (which we did later during our stay)

Please do yourself a favor and go eat here. We've been here twice during our vacation and the food was amazing!! The setting is simple but that just adds to the charm. We've had the lobster, crab, oysters, periwinkles, prawns... everything was delicious. And the restaurant owners are very very nice!!! They also speak English, which was a good thing because my French is not that good. What absolutely recommend!!

Doesn't get more authentic! The seafood is as fresh as it gets, directly from the producer to your plate and you can eat outside right in front of the sea. The family operating the place are also the fishermen & oyster producers, very welcoming and the service was fast; I did call ahead of time to place the order which I would recommend for anything that needs cooking. Note this is not a restaurant; don't expect white table clothes, fancy place settings and extensive wine lists; it's wooden tables outside in an oyster producing place. You are right next to the boats and empty shells.

Awesome place, we ate here once and I came back twice to buy sea food to bring to camping. Looks like local farm with lots of sea food, friendly people and good pricing.
