Had dinner here. The cote de boeuf was very little meat. My wife had the duck. She wanted well done. She got burned meat. It was completely black. When she complained all the waiter said was: you asked for well done. The food is overpriced. The waiter tried to rip us off in the end. He put on two extra desserts on the bill. When he saw us looking at the bill he quickly took it away and said there was a mistake. It was deliberate.
Perfect. Fantastic staff, super food, big portions, normal price, cozy atmosphere. Try the grilled meats.
Outstanding food! The figatellu as starter was delicious and then the beef filet rossini was excellent. The tarte au citron was quite nice too! The service was friendly, pleasant and efficient.
A solid 3.5 or 4 — we arrived on a busy Tuesday evening and were seated immediately. The staff was very kind and helped us with translations, not minding that we didn't speak French. The menu is inventive — we had the roast duck breast and the burger, both of which were great. So was the chocolate cake for dessert. This is definitely worth a visit and worth seeking out when in Corte — our experience fell short of five stars but it was still quite good.
Good Location, nice terrace and friendly service. The dishes are simple, but nicely presented and very tasty. The restaurant is good for any occasion: romantic dinner, family dinner, light bite etc. Very good price (e.g. 6€ for half a litre house wine that wasn't bad at all). Recommended (make sure to reserve)
Man make fire! This seems to be the hottest ticket in town at the end of summer 2018, because you'll need to book and because it's all about cooking red meat on the open wood fire. Whether you want to be in the restaurant close to that fire, or out on the warmly lit terrace will depend on the weather. (At 17 degrees both were full!) All that, great service at great pace and a sense of being where it's at, promises much. Generous and tasty terrine to begin with adds to the anticipation. However, the wood-fired meat doesn't quite deliver on all that promise. Perhaps because they ask how you want everything done, rather than cooking as it suits the meat and the fire best. For our meal, three very tasty lamb chops hadn't felt the fire enough to render and crisp their fat properly. While veal escalope (which was a poor choice on reflection but perhaps shouldn't be on the menu at all) was a sort of "protein map" of the heat of the fire; great in parts but too rare in others, then drowned in half a pint of (very tasty) mushroom source, disguising most of what was below. Tarte tatin to finish was spicy and sweet, but chef should step away from the squirty cream! Overall, it was a very nice place to spend an evening, but the main attraction didn't live up to its promise on this evening, so 3.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had. The kids enjoyed sharing a burger and my husband and I wished we had a bigger stomach to finish all the lovely potatoes that came with the lamb and duck. The wine, the food and service were all exceptional. It was a bit pricier than what we normally pay for but it was a special occasion and WELL worth it.
We absolutely loved this place! Friendly waiters, super fast service even with a full terrace, and then the food ! Heavenly! I had the figattelu (corsican sausage) with the potatoes it was excellent, as was my husbands omlette. But the mind-blowing thing was the tiramisu - possibly the best I have ever eaten. Heartily recommend this restaurant.
