Great pathway all the way around. Clean-enough water with few smells. Some good camping options around the outside
The largest artificial lake in Western Europe, covering 48 km2 with 350 million m³ of water. Created in 1974 to hold the water of the River Marne so that flooding of the Seine at Paris would stop. Its construction required the destruction of three villages; Chantecoq, Champaubert-aux-Bois and Nuisement-aux-Bois.
Super place great carp fishing and just to walk around or even bike. Very tranquil and relaxing place:) food shops are good 👍
On a beautiful day, this was a lovely place to visit. Several places for lunch, good walk to the church the far side of the walkway bridge. Not so good to be caught in a deluge far from the car park. Despite the hot sunshine, the rain wasn't too far away.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAKE! THE MOQUITOS RULE THE LANDS AROUND IT. OUR SPRAYS DIDN'T WORK.. THERE WERE TOO MANY OF THEM... THEY TRAPPED US INSIDE OUR OWN CAR.. DON'T GO
