We spent a lovely night in the Park room. We enjoyed the breakfast served in a basket delivered to our door. The property is lovely with woodland trails with views overlooking the river. Great value.

An exquisite gem with all you could dream and more. An historic castle. Acres of enchanted forest. Gracious and talented hosts extend a warm welcome. Lush, canopied pathways are perfect for peaceful walks, trail running, and exploring the forest (tiny aqueducts and relics left behind by monks centuries ago). Gorgeous, clean rooms are thoughtfully appointed. We stayed in the Tower which was brilliantly renovated and impeccably decorated. Breakfast was delicious with fresh juice, bread, pastries and other local delicacies. Every comfort was provided. Ideal location. Close to the heart of Lyon, yet quiet, peacefully buffered from the urban orchestra by river and forest. A short walk to the famous Michelin Star Restaurant Paul Bocuse (this restaurant typically books many months in advance). We were traveling through and immediately wished we’d booked many more nights at this one-of-a-kind magical paradise. Thanks to Louise and Jean-Maxime for restoring and graciously sharing this special place with others.

We loved our stay at the Lyon Country House as a stopover from our roadtrip from the South of France to Switzerland. The owners really do care about making very special memories at their place. It‘s also extremly close to the city centre although it feels like complete nature.

Had a great stay. We stayed here for one night on our way home from the south, would’ve liked to stay longer as we lost a lot of time talking to Jean maxime haha. Beautiful treehouse, great location and the breakfast in a basket is a nice touch especially if you’re staying with kids. Friendly host and owner felt very welkom to stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

How to explain ...Metropole Region Lyon but feels like country side The building ...we had the tower ...ooo what a night ! Thank full for it ...and the garden ...no the Park .... 400 years old trees ...view over the Saone ......... The landlord is another highlight ...such a nice and funny man . Thank you J-M for sharing this destination with the world .

We booked the Guard Tower and it was absolutely amazing!! The Guard Tower is located on a 12 acres property which looks lovely!! Jean-Maxime welcomed us super friendly and explained everything very well and easy. It is an amazing place to stay also with little children like we did.

Magnificent domain surrounded by nature yet so close to Lyon's city centre (15'drive). A gem where it feels good to sit back and relax! Jean-Max & Sophie are great hosts, going above and beyond for their guests. They've decorated with very much taste and have installed nice spa & amenities that makes you not want to leave 'home'. We whole heartedly recommend a stay at the Lyon Country House and hope to come again soon.

Jean-Maxime's accommodation was perfect. The building itself with a historical story was wonderful, and the interior of the building with a modern sense and design was also wonderful. Alexandra's hospitality and breakfast also perfect.(Thanks to your hospitality, I felt completely at home.) and the short meeting and conversation with Jean-Maxime at the check-out were also great. I wish and pray that what he does is well worthwhile and that there will be more people cheering for him.
