Attended Urgencies (A&E) on Wednesday afternoon. Although that part of the hospital is a bit old & tired it was a very straightforward and easy process. Triaged by a nurse 1st - how sensible is that! - then checked in, before being seen by a doctor. Very limited waiting between each step. Dr Ravel was great. Understood my situation and was really clear in his explanations. I very much appreciated his excellent English. Google translate had been very useful up to that point tho!

1 star for admissions / welcome staff. 5 star for all the other staff. They couldn't be more helpful, friendly and kind. The hospital itself is like a maze, signage is poor and confusing. Parking free.

I attended the emergency department today. The staff were very polite and professional. The service was very quick. We found the hospital easy to find and parked easily. The advanced practitioner who attended my care was kind enough to speak English to me.

On three occasions over the past five years I have had in house treatment. Prostate radiation, two stents fitted and, this week, an unanticipated pacemaker implanted. On each occasion, without exception, I have received wonderful treatment. My poor efforts to speak their language has been met with no criticism only patience. Thank you all

I would like to thank Dr Julie in the gynaecology department for her excellent care of my wife today. Without her kindness and great English we would have had a very difficult time. She is a credit to the hospital and to France, well done Julie!

They turned me away because apparently i wasnt in enough pain for them while i was giving birth. People were rude when I begged my husband to help translate and he wasnt allowed to come inside to translate. Maybe it was because I was black but i never felt like an animal and discriminated against more in my life. I had the baby in the street by myself because the nurses told me to leave.. Share this story as a warning. In the end the hospital admitted didn't understand what I was told which is expected as they never gave me a translator and they lied about my time being there. They wrote back saying I was only there for an hour while I was actually there with Proof for over 3 hours. Beware. Don't die here without Proof of everything they do.

disgraceful,bullying and hints of racial discrimination. My father has been in there for 3 weeks. They close the door on him ,3 falls a broken hip ,tied to a whellchair with a bed sheet when his hip was broken,but they didnt diagnose this??? I did and im not a nurse. 4 days later he was operated on. Very rude nurses . A broken armrest on his wheelchair which was dissmissed. I was told off for taking photos of my father to send to my relatives back in the UK. They dont use a hoist to get him bed ,they manually do this. His wrists are tied to the bed to stop him getting out and falling. So how has he fallen 3 times. Theyve upset my mum and told her hes not in pain ,when he was. Definately a grudge going on. They cant give answers to simple questions. If i practised nursing in this way in the UK i would have been dismissed. Disgusting .

Apalling treatment in A &E. Taken in with suspected heart attack. I am 78 years old. I was left for 3 hours. Nurses were abrupt and rude. I was told i coukdnt go to the toilet. Treated as thuogh i was a number as 2 nurses came in and said"its this one" i called my husband to pick me up at midnight after i walked out as id had enough. They didnt even notice id discharged myself
