ESTEPHAN LINUS

We visited Jardin de Balata which is a medium sized botanical garden located close to Forte-de-France and the cruise port. There's a wide variety of plants here on display and the colours are very attractive. The walk around the gardens takes around 30mins and takes you through multiple selections of plant families. There's a treetop walk also available here which gets very busy. The giftshop at the exit has a huge selection of souvenirs for sale. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly impressive! Very well maintained and diverse. Be aware that the last entry is 16:30h, while they communicate their opening times to be until 18:00h. There is a restaurant and a small shop around, parking is available on site. Adult price is 16€, but worth it!

A beautiful and superbly designed botanical garden. You can also watch hummingbirds up close at the feeding stations. There is a footbridge amongst the trees, built on wobbly planks. A highlight for children is feeding the fish (tilapia). There is a car park and a restaurant nearby. In my opinion, the admission fee is a bit too expensive.
