Basic rooms but the food is amazing. Great wine selection with lots of local varieties.

Had a lovely lunch here, we were all very impressed and even my eleven year old fussy eater cleared his plate! ||The Plat du Jour is pot luck, we were amazed at how good the food was! We had pork and it was divine, also for desert probably the best creme brûlée I've ever tasted. ||Highly recommend. The seating area is very quiet outside at the back of the hotel and really cool on our hot 40+ day! ||We shall return of we are in the area again :)

The restaurant is the shining star in this establishment. The rooms are extremely dated and tired - our bathroom was very 70's. There are lots of cosmetic repairs needed but the place was spotless, and the staff very professional, attentive and helpful. It probably deserves its two star rating but, with investment, would be an excellent place to stay

We went there for dinner after a day of walking around. This place was great. We didn't stay at the hotel. The food was great, better than expected and the service was great too. Most of all, what I noticed was how well the staff got along with the owner, their boss, who was also actively helping clients.

Restaurant with rooms. Very nice staff and proprietor, adjacent garage, excellent garden and patio. Excellent food. Really good choice for our overnight stop.

The hotel rooms are somewhat basic, but perfectly serviceable and spacious. Staff are courteous and helpful, with efforts made to comply with Covid restrictions, though we were not asked for our Pass Sanitaire. ||||But the food in the restaurant is superb!

We stayed one night at this 2* Logis. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Our room was exceptionally large. However, we felt as if we were going back in time. The room and bathroom have seen better days and need renovating. My husband and I both commented on the fact that we both rolled towards one another in the bed! The bathroom definitely needs a total revamp. It was fine for the one night, but we would not return. We only chose it as we had an appointment the next morning in Barbezieux and wanted to stay in the town and there was no other hotel there. There was no hairdryer in the room, but you can ask at reception to borrow one. We did not eat in the restaurant as there were only two choices, the main courses being either pork or sole. A real shame as it's a superb building. Our room overlooked the main road, which was very busy the next morning, but with the windows closed it was not at all noisy. I don't know what it would be like in summer though, as there's no air-conditioning.
