TLDR: I did the 65 euro perfume creation workshop. This is a pleasant activity if your goal is to experiment and take home a personal souvenir. However if you are interested in a more educational experience or creating a cohesive, wearable fragrance, temper your expectations. The guidance you receive can vary greatly depending on where you are seated and who you are working with, and this will affect your final product. Overall, despite Galimard marketing the workshop as a personalized experience, it strangely felt like a high-volume/conveyor belt activity. If you are considering this workshop in comparison to competitors' offerings, FYI: this place is not easy to get to unless you have a car. Buses often do not come on time. And as other reviews have mentioned, yes there is an upsell at the end: the 12 euro atomiser bottle. You can of course take the brown default bottle home, but that one is impractical for application. Full review: I signed up for a 2pm workshop. There was quite big group of us who were all taken into the space at the same time and sat at individual tables with scents (called an organ). After a basic explainer on the components of a perfume and the creation process (there are base, heart, and top notes; choose 4-5 for each; follow your nose), you are off to experiment at your "organ". I read some reviews here that the staff were hands-on, advised on notes, etc. This was a major reason I chose this workshop over others. I did not have this experience; in fact I felt that I was largely left to my own devices, then being rushed to pick notes. Even when I specifically asked for recommendations or clarification, I was told again to "smell them and see what I like". Meanwhile, others in the same workshop seemed to have two to three staff members actively guiding and checking on them throughout the process. Overall, there were a lot of people in the room, both participants and staff. While it soon became clear that each “advisor” was assigned to 4-5

Was super existed about creating a scent that represented my journey and also has a memory associated with it. We were kindly greeted by Rosita who guided us through the process with patience as we went through techniques for selecting the base heart and top notes. I did notice that even though there were 30 people each person was given extremely good attention . Rosita made this such a great experience for us with her passion,humour, experience and feedback. This workshop is great to get used to the experience of smelling and combining scents. The 1.5 hr time limit is generous to go through the entire organ if you know what ur looking for or what you definitely don’t want. A definite praise for the team at Galimard for not rushing the experience and managing diverse groups and people with utmost professionalism. They also do have a Haute-Couture perfume creation workshop which I would advice anyone looking to create a unique scent or needs advance techniques, like balancing out , embedding , lifting notes, longevity & projection etc. one could definitely benefit from the vast experience from the house of Galimard. Looking forward to placing orders for Parfum soon, I find the prices extremely reasonable and the experience of making luxury/ niche perfume very reachable.

Fantastic experience! Must do! We went with a family with two kids 15 and 12 years old and all enjoyed it very much! Very special to make your own parfum. The explanation and fun our parfumeur “nose” brought us was great. Very good english, knowledge and help in getting the fragrance your going for. Would do this again!

Attended a perfume making workshop with friends during our girl's trip. The blue front of the shop is deceiving, and doesn't really showcase the brand's heritage or the elegant set up inside. Inside the workshop are approximately 30 individual workspaces where you are given your own neatly sorted organ, complete with base, heart and top notes to sample. You're given a sheet to write down your favourite scents and then the staff (noses) come to help you with ratios for each note. The staff were all fantastic, and helped us to select notes and mix them. They talked us through the process and supported us all individually to create our signature scent. At the end of the workshop, you are asked whether you'd like to upgrade to an atomiser or take it away in a bottle. We all paid to upgrade as it meant we could use it easier and it looks very professional, with our own labels printed. Once you leave, you can order your scent in a variety of products and have it delivered. Overall, extremely pleased! Well worth a visit.

We went trying the STUDIO 1 with my little sister. That was my first visit, and what can I say !?? The lady at the reception was very welcoming, she recognised me (gift voucher) and we got lead to that kind of private lab where Marie-Amandine took care of us from the beginning until the very end. She is very sweet and explained every step of the way. Then, we got out with the perfume I created with her expertise. I love the packaging of it, plus, I was even thrilled when she handed my diploma. We truly appreciated the experience of trying something new. Looking forward to coming back !

The perfume creation workshop is amazing and great value for money. Staff was extremely nice and friendly and we had a blast. Thank you If I were to give a small suggestion - it would be nice to learn a little more about persistency during the workshop (and how to create a perfume that lasts) since my perfume, although amazing, does not last very long.

We went here for the perfume workshop as a family activity and had a fantastic time. Selecting scents and mixing them to make a personal perfume was a great experience for all of us, and discussing our choices and selections after was great fun as well. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and made it a memorable experience. If you are in Grasse and have time, I would wholeheartedly recommend doing the Galimard perfume workshop.
