The village offers many free time activities in beautiful surrounding. Also, we would like to highlight the great customer care and support of the Nova manager at Prairies de la mer. In summary, we will certainly come again and highly recommend the Nova Lodges accommodations to others.
Absolutely perfect! Dream holiday for families! Service, facilities, location, very friendly staff!
This is our second year going. Very family friendly location, close to the beach. We come back because of the location and the value for money eg. in the restaurant by the water where you can order crepes starting at 4 euros and fish & chips for 17euros. The Picnic Restaurant located inland had live music in the evenings and churros & candy floss and mini carnival. The location is great - 20 min drive to St Tropez and great excursions along the French Riviera. It’s a good base if you have a car. Drove to Grasse, Eze, Monaco, Villefranche, St Maxime, and more. ||We were lucky to be there during Bastille Day and watched the awesome fireworks by the beach.||Note: the cabins are practical and small but fits for the purpose of sleeping. Showers can be tiny for those who are taller. The hot/cold shower mixer is sensitive: water gets hot or cold quickly if you move it a millimetre! Careful if you have kids as our daughter nearly burnt herself. You need to order bed sheets and towels in advance if you’re not bringing your own. There is a laundry mat onsite near the Azure bikes. You have what you need in the cabin: plates, cutlery, glasses, microwave, and stove, TV etc. WIFI was great but you need to get the code from reception when you check in as it won’t be in the room. Kids loved the golf cart when the staff guided us to our room. Friendly staff.||Cons: ants can be a problem. Make sure you don’t leave any food out at night. Sweep your floors of crumbs. If you’re hanging laundry, bring it in at night or it will get damp and smell when left out during the night. The swimming pool is great but it’s a long walk if you’re located near the beach. Count on that you will not get a chair unless you’re there super early. There’s a toilet near the beach but no soap or hand wash. You will need to clean the tool if you haven’t paid for cleaning service. There is no vacuum cleaner, only sweepers. The sofa bed is OK. There is no phone in the room to contact reception- you will need t
We are just back from a week with Nova Lodges in Prairies de la mer.....this campsite really tok my breath away. Its so so beautiful, I don't think the photos do it justice.||We booked with Nova as they seemed to be better value, but I'm glad we did, they were incredibly helpful with any little thing we wanted,by whatsapp- so handy to contact customer service with an almost instant reply. ||The lodge was.....compact.....but it was clean, had everything we needed and the deck was lovely. Thank God for the wonderful aircon which kept us sane during the 35° heatwave.||The only thing we would have loved, and the technician did try for us, was some English channels on tv- we had none.||There are so many positives with this campsite & nova, the negatives if I had to think of some would be , (and these are the campsite as opposed to Nova lodges) ||1)The age old issue of the pool bed shortage. Although we noticed it was more lf a parasol shortage - easily rectified. I think someone (lifeguard/security) should police people leaving beds for hours while they are off having lunch etc....||2) as there is pretty much nothing for small kiddos to do in the pool, no slides etc, it would be nice if they would leave some of the hundreds of inflatable toys that must bet left behind out for use. Incidentally, the large supermarket charges wayyyy more for these than the little boutique across the way.....we had to leave 2 behind which kills me from a sustainability pot. So much wasted plastic||3)les Baigneuses is a fab location & lovely vibe but the kids food or tapas as they call it was wayyyyy overpriced & poor quality (from frozen nuggets & onion rings ) . Not to mention €9 for a pint !!!!||4) I saw a lady get knocked over by a young lad on an electric bike- they're out of control on the walkways. ||Thats it really . Port Grimaud, a 5min walk is lovely but the two nights we went for dinner we made dreadful choices -so check reviews first- don't assume that a full restaurant is a
If you're looking for a luxury campsite then do not stay! The rooms were basic and small. Our room fit a double bed but I could not comfortably walk around the bed. We had to put cases and belongings in the kitchen/ living room space. We paid for the bedsheet €51 for 4 people for 4 days. They can ripped, stained and mouldy. We got another set sent to us and that was the same. The camp is covered with this horrible gritty grey sand which gets everywhere making your lodge dirty constantly even if you take your shoes off outside. The 'private' pool looks lovely on the website and there is even a kid's pool. In reality, the pool is shared with the other campsites. There are hundreds of people. No space to swim. There are children everywhere screaming so it is not relaxing. Warm water sounds like a nice thing but due to the amount of people and the fact it was cloudy, I was scared of going in as it looked like a breeding ground for infection. The location was stunning... the only saving grace was that we only needed to have an uncomfortable nights sleep and get up and out and explore France. If you are looking for a place to stay with your children which is an overcrowded rubbish version of centre parks. This place is great. If you are looking for a luxury campsite then please don't waste your money. The only reason I stayed for the 4 days was that I was there with friends and I did not want to kick up a fuss.
Nova Lodges is part of a huge camping ground in Port Grimaud. The lodges themselves are great, modern, spacious and with an ample veranda (we stayed in a three bedroom as a family of 5). You're within walking distance and minutes away from the giant pool (that serves the whole camping grounds), the beach and the walking areas of Port Grimaud so you can leave the car parked if you want the whole time. Multiple car charging stations if you're travelling electric. Be prepared: the camping ground is really big, with streets and streets of lodges and bungalows, so you may have to walk a bit and the pool while huge can be crowded during high season.
We came without reservations and they booked us lodges immediately, the girl at the reception spoke amazing English , which is rarity, she made our stay much better, thank you for your patience with us. The check in experience was a tragedy, they said that I will get a message when our lodges are ready, but I got no message. I had to Google that the check-in starts at 16:00. We went to the concierge at 16:30 because we had no message, they sent us to our cars and said they will send someone there, like they knew where we’re parked (even we didn’t). Took another half hour for the staff to find us and our cars. It would be much better if the check-in time gets to at less 13:00 or 14:00 since checkout is at 10:00. The rest of the stay was amazing. We got complimentary bottle of Rose. Beds were super comfortable, mosquito nets were available as well as AC. I’d stay there again.
This place is an absolute paradise. First came 40 years ago and just got back from taking my own children. It's beautiful, safe, has friendly staff and we can't wait to get back. Lodges are very clean, big enough for the 4 of us and very quiet and peaceful at night. Don't hesitate, just book it.
