We stayed at Meneghetti for two nights during our tour of Istria, and it was one of the highlights of our trip.|Set among vineyards and olive groves, the property is beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. Because we booked at the last minute, we stayed in two different rooms as the hotel was fully booked. Hotel Manager Nenad personally assisted with our booking and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.|Our room in the main building was comfortable and quiet, while the residence with a pool where we spent our second night was lovely. We dined in both restaurants, enjoyed the changing menus, and were impressed by the quality of the food and service.|The staff were professional and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the bicycles, beach area, and the hotel’s beach club.|The hotel is pet-friendly, the wines were excellent, and the staff’s recommendations were spot on. While Meneghetti is certainly premium-priced, the quality of the accommodation, food, wine, and service justifies the cost.|We highly recommend it for anyone seeking a relaxing, luxurious getaway in Istria.
We had a very pleasant stay on our recent trip to Croatia. I had researched hotels all over the country for months before finally booking. I had initially passed over Meneghetti due to some negative reviews, but I am very happy we gave them a chance. The property is very relaxing. We enjoyed walking down to the gardens, walking through the vineyard, and biking to the beach. We stayed during May and felt like we have the resort to ourselves. The spa is nice, not 5 star, but has everything you need to feel completely relaxed. There is also a gym with good strength training equipment. We enjoyed the restaurant for one dinner. The breakfast's in the morning were plentiful. Everyone working there is friendly and willing to help. We also enjoyed a wine tasting at the winery. I wish we would have booked a formal tour and enjoyed the winery more. We loved the vintage room. Very spacious and a door step away from breakfast. Although you must go down stairs to get from the bedroom to bathroom which needs caution at night due to limiting lighting. Perfect tranquil and relaxing stay, yet close enough to Rovinj and other wineries in the area. I will say the property is more remote that what is shown on Google maps so we did find that driving places took 5-10 minutes longer than expected. I would highly recommend everyone stay here after doing extensive research about other offerings in the country.
Few places make you feel so connected to where your food and wine come from. Walking through the vineyards, olive groves and extensive gardens and then enjoying produce grown on the estate on your plate. That kind of authenticity is incredibly rare. ||What will stay with me just as much are the people. The concierge was always eager to help and there was warmth and happiness throughout the property that felt completely natural and sincere. ||A beautiful place, but even more importantly a beautiful spirit.
We recently had lunch, and it was an absolutely exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the stunning estate and serene atmosphere of the Istrian countryside set the perfect mood.||The food was great. Every dish was beautifully presented. The service was attentive, professional, and welcoming. Combined with their wines, this lunch was unforgettable.||We will definitely be back.
The hotel would have many positive aspects: The estate is beautiful, the staff is very friendly and it seems at least to be a sustainable hotel. |What is unacceptable is the food offering: The prices for lunch and dinner are outrageous and the servings are small. Yes, they offer good locally sourced products (but for US beef) but this does not justify an at least 6x add-on compared to the offerings of other good restaurants in the area. 10 EUR for a small plate of rosemary potatoes on the side? Come on... Another sign that it is a rip off is that during the day, the hotel offers its own water in its own bottles everywhere free of charge. However, during dinner they offer only expensive water from Italy. This is brazen. |Similarly, paying 64 EUR for a wine tasting of their own wine is a complete rip-off. You can go to the best estates is Italy and France and they don't nearly charge that price.|Furthermore, the breakfast concept fails. Instead of offering exclusively a buffet or a combination thereof, the hotel provides only a la carte dishes together with a "selection" of bread, cheese and meat. While most of the ingredients are of good good quality, the overall impression of the dishes is mediocre and you will leave hungry unless you order more than 6 dishes. This does not make sense.|Finally, the sleep quality is horrible. The room does not get dark because you only have thin curtains. Even worse, if you have a room in the main building (even a premium one) you are above the main restaurant, which means that there is loud music until late at night and you constantly hear the guests at the restaurant.|We will certainly not return and recommend to avoid this property.
Meneghetti is a peaceful, tranquil experience with a level of service comparable to The Four Seasons. The staff was very accommodating and the tour and tasting is not to be missed. We enjoyed dinners in the restaurant that were creative and distinctive featuring farm to table ingredients. The charm of a boutique, Michelin-rated hotel paired with gourmet food and beautiful grounds provided for a very memorable experience
We spent an unforgettable weekend celebrating the wedding of our close friends at Meneghetti. From the very first moment, the entire team left a truly special impression — their genuine care and attention to detail ensured that every moment was delivered at the highest level.||A special mention goes to the housekeeping team: the property was absolutely immaculate, with every detail perfectly in place. It truly elevated the entire experience.||We had a wonderful time and created memories we will cherish for a long time.||Wishing the whole team an excellent and successful season ahead.||Lovorka & Timo
What an amazing hotel experience. I visited with my mom at the end of May as part of her birthday gift, and the hotel made it truly special from the moment we arrived. We found a handwritten card and a bottle of wine waiting in our room, and later they even added a candle to our dessert at dinner. Such thoughtful touches. The arrival itself feels magical: a long driveway, a gated entrance, and a road that seems to lead nowhere. The hotel is beautifully secluded, making it the perfect place if you are looking for peace and quiet. Isabel welcomed us warmly upon arrival and personally showed us around the property and to our room. We stayed in Room 5, which was absolutely gorgeous, spread across two floors with our own private terrace and lounge beds. We decided to walk to the beach club, about 20 minutes away along a gravel road. It was completely worth it. The beach club is private, recently renovated, and offers stunning views along with delicious food. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was another highlight. The fresh asparagus, pasta with artichokes, and especially the ribeye were incredible. And of course, every wine we tried was excellent. Breakfast was equally impressive. It is served à la carte with a wide selection of options, plus fresh breads, meats, and cheeses brought to the table regardless of what you order. Honestly, I did not want to leave. Every staff member was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. I have been coming to Croatia for more than 30 years and have stayed in many beautiful places, but this is absolutely one of the best experiences I have ever had, if not the best.
