Perfect stay to explore Avignon and the Luberon region. Lovely host, amazing breakfast, authentic but airconditioned rooms. Great for families (pool!), as well as couples and larger groups. Highly recommended!

Staying at Mas Saint Jacques is an unforgettable and unmatchable experience. The Mas in itself is already perfect (heated pool, room, dining place, kitchen, everything is there, and the location is even more perfect to visit a lot of places), but Jean Marc makes it even more perfect. His breakfast has all you need, and he is the “mister all is possible” that makes your holiday perfect. He solves every request you have, with a unique customer-centred mindset, in a good balance also to give you the space to enjoy your time on your own. The kids also loved the dogs Molly and Foxy! Memories for life and to be revisited soon hopefully. Really impressive life-work, and impossible to find something better.

We enjoyed our 10 days stay at Mas saint Jacques enormously. Upon arrival Jean-Marc and Molly the dog gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home throughout our stay at their home. Jean-Marc serves a delicious Breakfast with fresh baguette, croissants, homemade jam … and an excellent coffee or two. Depending on the weather, breakfast is served outside or inside. He kindly helped us plan our many excursions to the lovely area. The Mas is only a few minutes by car from the city centre of Avignon. Furthermore, it is perfectly located for excursions to the abundant roman antiquities, romanesque churches and abbeys, the perched villages in the mountains, the lovely nature and much, much more. With Jean-Marc’s help we had some great meals in nice restaurants. But we also often brought our own food and had many lovely evening meals at the Mas and came to love the excellent wine selection on offer at the Mas. Jean-Marc is a wonderful host, who has opened his lovingly restored home to welcome guests. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated with antique furniture and very clean and quiet. We recommend Mas saint Jacques wholeheartedly and look forward to our next visit.

From the time we first stepped into this beautiful house, Jean Marc and Molly made us feel at home, a classic French countryside home with trees lining the driveway made it almost a picture perfect vacation place for a couple or a family in need of a quiet place for relaxation. He serves an impeccable breakfast, with croissants, juices, and freshly picked figs from his yard. I truly enjoyed this time and will surely recommend it to friends and family.

Short version: Absolutely wonderful! 1000% recommendable! Lokg version: Jean-Marc's "Le Mas de Saint Jacques" is the perfect getaway near Avignon. It's located just outside the outskirts of the city in the beautiful, quiet countryside. The first thing you see on arrival is a beautiful iron gate, an alley of ancient trees and, behind that, the cozy B&B. Jean-Marc welcomed us in the most heartily way and showed us around the house while explaining us a bit of its history. He was most helpful with finding and reserving a great restaurant nearby, finding parking in Avignon for the next day and even took care of our laundry when we arrived. The house itself is a lovingly renovated old farm house and the two suites we booked were everything one could look for. Very clean, very well and lovingly equipped as well as spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is beautiful and towels are provided. But the absolute highlight is the breakfast which is being served on the sunny terrace! Homemade marmalades, crunchy baguettes, chocolate breads and croissants, fresh fruits and delicious coffee and tea. All of this is very attentively accompanied by the wonderful Jean-Marc who smoothly manages to make you feel at home. If you decide to visit Le Mas Saint Jacques, you will definitely want to stay longer and come back to see Jean-Marc and his lovely dog Molly again.

Beautiful house, surrounded by space and fields - the idyllic Provençal stay we were hoping for, including delicious breakfast with homemade jams, nice pool and lovey dog. ||The room was much bigger than we thought, we had a lounge plus a bedroom and bathroom. The fans were enough to keep us cool (in mid-August, 30 degrees +). ||Location is great, a short drive to Avignon and well set for many sights in Provence - but far enough from town that it feels like an escape. It’s easy to find and there’s a supermarket very nearby too. ||Jean-Marc is the perfect welcoming host, makes you feel at home from the start.

We had a great day at Mas Saint Jacques. Jean Marc welcomed us with a big smile. He is a great host . He made it for us a very relaxing stay. The house and room were very beautiful, spacious en very clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool. Breakfast was wonderfull with fresh orange juice and home- made jam. We would certainly come back.

So… that’s really is the perfect place for a dreamy getaway. The location is perfect for exploring the area (with a car), the house is just like you are in an old French movie but the best part is most definitely Jean Marc the wonderful host, who gives his heart to the place and the amazing breakfast 🫶🏽 we miss this place already and can’t wait to come back! Oh and a big plus- it’s a truly dogs friendly 🐶❤️
