By far the best meal we had over a 2 week road trip through France, including Paris. Lamb, tripe, steak, appetizers, sides, dessert - everything was absolutely delicious. Bigger than expected portions, reasonably priced too. And a friendly owner/host who first found a way to sit 6 of us and then patiently explained the menu and dishes. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm. Highly recommend.
Fabulous! Four of us went this evening to celebrate my Mums birthday. The service was great and our hostess really looked after us. The food was absolutely delicious! Camembert and the pate apps were great! Two had the steak, my Mum had the gnocchi and I had the pork and it was all delicious!! Everything looked and tasted so good. Desserts were pane cotta with raspberry coulis which was just lovely and the poached pear looked amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit!
Well presented, delicious food of a really high quality and spot-on portion sizes. Lovely, cosy ambience with warm and welcoming hostess who was happy for us to practice our French! We didn’t feel rushed at all, but the hostess was attentive. Good value for money. Easy parking very nearby if needed (we parked in nearby square, free after 19:00h). As we came in May, we didn’t need to book, but would recommend doing so in busier months! Would definitely come back again.
Top quality food with a very reasonable price. Nice plating and side dishes as well. There's only one waitress, very friendly, but overall it's still well organized.
What a beautiful experience it is to have dinner at Le Saint Louis in Dinan! Walking in you immediately feel warm and cozy as you are greeted by Madame, the lovely hostess, with a warm welcome. The building alone is beautiful, I regret not asking the name of our lovely hostess and the year the building was built. Everything was perfect, the butternut soup starter and the main dishes of roasted meats and afterwards our son enjoyed a lovely dessert. I could have stayed for hours enjoying a glass of stone in front of their beautiful fireplace, maybe next time. One more thing, prices were very reasonable priced. We had dinner for 3, bottle of wine and bill was €60, that is AMAZING for anywhere in Europe. I think they should raise their prices as the food was super delicious with good sized portions. Definitely a must do restaurant when you're in Dinan, and I hope very much to someday return.
Absolutely delicious! We had the bird and the gnocchi, along with a butternut squash soup. The service was outstanding, and the menu felt unique and thoughtfully crafted.
Generous portions, very friendly staff, and delicious food. Highly recommended.
It was fantastic! We tuck our toddler ( he had gotten used to holiday nights) who was welcomed and treated special. He doesn't like any food at the moment but loved the pretzel snacks this was picked up by the staff and they just kept coming. The food itself Amazing! Set menu for prices and choices of 4 for each course. I chose the cheese to start and the lamb broth for main iv been telling everyone how fantastic it was unfortunately time had run out with the toddler so we didn't get to try deserve but it looked massive from what I saw go to other tables. 100% recommend ( though I don't want to tell anyone)
