We stayed here for three nights. John, the manager who speaks perfect English, was a very sweet man and so helpful. The common area is spacious and this place feels like a cozy Airbnb. Breakfast was wonderful, quiet area, very clean rooms. My only tip - it's a 20 minute walk to the train station (Arcueil–Cachan) and going there from the hotel is easy but coming back from the station is not. So be prepared if you plan to walk from the train station that it's uphill (especially with luggage). I wouldn't say it's centrally located but once you manage to figure out the bus and train stops nearby getting around Paris is a breeze. We enjoyed everything about our stay here and heartily recommend it to others.
Very pleasant place in the south of Paris, about 10km from the Eiffel Tower. The building has a beautiful view of the city and everything is clean and lovingly decorated. John the owner is a kind-hearted soul and always helpful. The breakfast was very good and we can highly recommend this place. If our paths take us to Paris again, this place will be our first choice.
After a couple of nights in a small hotel room with 2 children sharing a sofa bed we arrived at La Maison Du Coteau. We were welcomed by John who orientated us to our accomodation and the surrounding area. ||A few months earlier When I went to adjust a hotel booking for Paris online, I saw that I could get the penthouse suite at La Maison Du Coteau for the same price with our children getting a bed each and their own room. With great reviews I was excited that our Paris visit might have a unique accomodation experience.||Once we ascended the stairs we entered into a full apartment with a view of Paris that is panoramic. Spacious and well equipped we knew we had found a gem of a place to stay, my expectations were exceeded by the view alone.||In the morning John prepared a great breakfast available in the common kitchen. The accomodation is a 5 minute walk to restaurants and shops. It is 15 minutes to a train and then 15min to all of what you would want to see in Paris. To top it off there is room for a hire car.||I don't think you could do Paris any better without going the big spend on accomodation and then would you get the character of a La Maison Du Coteau, who knows?
A little slice of heaven right on the edge of Paris. The owner was warm and welcoming, very friendly, and helpful. He explained the features of the area, and the view of Paris from the penthouse was beyond breathtaking. He even dropped us off at the RER when we couldn't figure out how to get there. This is definitely my return spot! And yes, Sophia makes a wonderful breakfast!
Lovely big, open house set in stunning gardens with a gorgeous pool. As a group of 20 girls in our mid 20s we found it the perfect get away - and the owners recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner where we had a great meal. We also had a BBQ in the gardens. We would have been happy to extend our stay if it were not for work!
We had wonderful stay there! John is a very helpful and friendly host. Sophia prepared the best breakfast. The retro style, the great location (close to highway), quietness, and the lovely garten, I just like it very much!
Asking my daughters which hotel they liked best during our Europe round-trip, and La Maison Du Coteau came in first. Why? Nice location on metro ride from Paris, free car park on the property, clean rooms, use of common rooms, kitchen, and garden, nice breakfast, unpretentious but nice restaurants on walking distance, and first and foremost a wonderful hospitality! Great help with all our stuff and all our questions. A pleasure to have stayed there and a strong incentive to come back!
It's easy to imagine the atmosphere it once must have had, but no more. The penthouse terrace is large, but has an overload of moldy couches on it. There is no air-conditioning, which makes it almost impossible to sleep. The 'family room' is a dungeon-like space with no windows (god forbid there is ever a fire in the hallway, you'd be trapped). Same for the 'extra' room for the penthouse, also too small to be called a room. Parking, breakfast and staff are nice, but no English. Not worth the price, in need of a major overhaul to get back to what it once must have been.
