Decent hostel, clean rooms and good bathroom and shower facilities. Minimalistic kitchen. The owner Patrick is a great guy. The location is great, a 2 minute walk from the central station.
This hostel felt more like a hotel but I mean that in the best way! The staff is very welcoming and everything here is extremely clean. There's a little kitchen and a place to do laundry. Although tiny, I definitely enjoyed my stay here. The people at reception are very willing to help you in any way possible. They also have an adorable dog who you will see from time to time. On top of everything, the location is near impossible to beat. You're near everything. I would definitely come back here!
Good hostel, always clean and right in the centre of town. With the train station and tram both within a 5 minute walk, and the beach and old town just 20 minutes away by foot, the hostel is really well connected. The lady who runs the place is incredibly friendly and helpful and works hard to ensure that guests enjoy their stay. The place is closed from 11am-2pm, at which point all guests are (respectfully) temporarily kicked out, but this is when you’ll be traveling around the city anyway. The only downside is that the kitchen is more of a kitchenette, lacking a stove and oven so do not expect to cook here. However, there is a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and plenty of cutlery, glasses and mugs. Overall, a pleasant stay which I would recommend to any travellers with a low-budget who would like a central-Nice stay and are okay with not being able to cook.
An affordable hostel Quite accessible from the Airport and the main station of Nice, it is clean and has the amenities required. With only 2 toilettes and 2 bathrooms, they maintain the place from 10 to 2 pm everyday, as guests, we gotta keep is neat. The owners are kind and helpful. Kitchen is good for assembling and storing away dishes, not cooking. Wifi, laundry and other amenities available. Overall, one of the cleaner hostels, I've been to! A good stay, if you are going to sight see most of the time.
The rooms are well air-conditioned. The hostel is very quiet, compared to other hostels, which seems like a pro until you realised that's because , there is no place to socialise with others other then the couch in front of the reception in the hall. There are only 2 showers and 2 toilets but, I never had the problem of not being able to use either of them for a long time. The hostel closes for cleaning between 11.00 and 14.00, which seems reasonable if there is a lot although not ideal after a night out. However I have been staying from Monday till friday and my bed is never made with fresh sheets, my pillow has no cover and the whole hostess is a bit smelly sometimes. Which makes me wonder what exactly it is they clean in that time. The lady at the reception is very friendly and will help you with info incase you need some tips. It's just a bit of a bummer that you have to check out before 11 and can't leave your luggage in the hostel for even 2 hours. So now I have to store it somewhere or walk with my suitcase for 2 hours trough Nice. The location is great! Close the the train station and a busy shopping centre. 20 min walk to the beach and a little longer to the old town where the social and touristic places can be found.
I never write reviews but I felt like I had to this time. Starting with the positives, the lady running the hostel seemed very kind and was willing to help. The hostel is close to the train station and right next to a bustling street with shops and cafes. The beds were clean enough, and there was a roof over our heads. As for the negatives: There were no sizable common areas to socialize. The entire place smelled foul. There were two communal toilets (no sink) and two showers, all of which were tiny individual rooms scattered about the building. The sinks in the dorms didn’t seem to get hot water, and my room didn’t have hand soap. The wifi stopped working while I was there. I think the worst part was the locker situation. They were tiny, couldn’t fit my backpack, and could be easily be opened even with my padlock on them. I didn’t feel as though my belongings were safe so I kept everything in my bed while I slept and carried my valuables with me during the day. All in all, the hostel was pretty bad, but at least I was incentivized to be away from my room and explore Nice for a couple days.
It was ok. It was well priced and I think well placed. Really close to the train station to travel to other places around Nice, 20 minutes walk to the beach (2 tram stops) but the walk is along the main shopping street.||||Patrick is OK. Straight forward really, rooms are ok. Free wifi was getting turned off at 10pm when I was there. ||||Clean enough, decent showers and clean toilet. Not bad.
We were staying at this place with my friend one week. First plan was to stay only for four nights but we changed it because of circumstances hard to find hostels in next city in high season. I was very satisfied with atmosphere in this hostel. Everyone was very nice and it has been verified that french are really polite people :) I was little disappointed with the modest equipping in the kitchen (coffee maker didn't work, not many dishes and cutlery). I've missed a place for socializing and access to the Internet and you had to sit on a bench or on the floor in the reception to get better signal for net surfing. If you don't need that you'll be content with modern refurbished rooms and spaces for bathing. You'll be also pleased with the owners. They're attentive and kind. But not wakes them up in the middle of the night because they are only available until midnight :) Generally I spend great days in Nice and the location of the hostel in city center helped very much.
