Avis
Great location right before the beautiful village of Lauzerte. Large gîte accommodating up to 40 people. The rooms are very bare but clean. Bathroom and toilets in the hallway, again quite bare but clean. Food was very good and Jean-Pierre and Orla very welcoming.
.We were made to feel so welcome by Orla and Jean Pierre. We had such a relaxing time staying here. The ambience created by Orla and Jean Pierre meant this was a memorable stay on our Camino.|The food was plentiful and tasty- all created with care.
It has been many months since I stayed at Les Figuiers but I felt compelled to leave my thanks here. This was my favorite gîte on my short walk on the Camino this summer. It is run by the most wonderful hosts with fabulous food by Orla and beautiful views. I arrived late and JP called to make sure I was in time for check-in and dinner. Great location right on the camino on the way up into town, and quite large, but lovely. I wish to return just to stay here again.
Another lovely Gite. Purpose built and very efficient rather than small and quaint. Regardless, we really enjoyed our stay. Orla and JP were very good hosts and extremely helpful with everything. We had a private room with DP and had absolutely no complaints. Some reviews have stated this Gite is a bit industrial, but we found the hospitality far negated any issues with the size. Private room had everything we needed. Wifi was good in the room, but sensational in the common areas. The Gite isn’t in the old town, but below it on the way in on the Chemin. Nice stay and would recommend.
Room and Space are clean but very very basic. It’s big ( 30 other pelgrims) so felt a bit industrial. Nothing charming or cozy. On the plus side food was fresh and well prepared. And the hosts are helpful and hard working. If you are not picky or regarding on the « charm » of the place but just want a place to sleep. It’s fine
Highly recommend this gite. Very welcoming hosts and wonderful food. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit (breakfast and dinner) and vegetables (dinner). It's very clean, towel provided - stay here, you will be glad you did
This Gite is run by a lovely husband and wife team who offer a warm welcome, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, and excellent food for dinner and breakfast. They even made us a delicious picnic for us to take with us. We highly recommend!
Highly recommend. Owners are very warm, kind and welcoming- from the homemade apple juice offered at arrival, to the delicious Pilgrim dinner dinner with aperitif and wine, and finally to a very filling breakfast. They both speak French and English. They made great care to accommodate my dietary restriction at every meal. They also accommodated three pilgrims who failed to ask for a picnic lunch for the next day until after dinner (past the stated deadline as the bread is homemade). They also helped a couple secure a ride for their next stage of their pilgrimage and let them store luggage until their transport arrived. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Pilgrims were able to do laundry, and there are clothes lines outside as well as a hose and scrub brush for hiking shoes that might end up covered in mud like mine were. Wonderful experience for all and especially pilgrims.
