I was at first skeptical to stay in an old prison, the photos dont do the place justice! I was delightfully suprised, the hotel was full of art! And renovated with taste. My friend took the standard room, truly a 2 bed twin cell with high windows. And i took Deluxe room 4x the size and wonderful with lower windows of church on one side and River Orb on the other. The double lap pool was wonderful but not heated. No kids either and the fitness room had some pilates things! The breakfast was generous but needs a few better quality items like fresh fruit not canned. The eggs were nice. Reception staff was amazing, very professional! I will return and it will be my first pick! Thank you Hotel La Prison

A unique and unforgettable experience! The best views over Beziers are from the windows of this hotel. The bed was huge and the room was spacious and clean. In general, the hotel is styled in a very modern way. The taste for the decoration is impeccable! I would have appreciated a kettle and a mini fridge in the room, as a point to improve. Just because the views are so incredible from the bedroom... to be able to have a drink in your room would make it even better.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the fact that it’s an old prison adds some novelty to the stay. The room was clean and the bathroom big. The bed was comfy, sadly the black mould in the shower wasn’t pleasant, an easy task for the cleaners right? We had dinner in the restaurant the waiting staff and colleague were fantastic and well deserved their tip. The food was great too. Sadly the reception staff could really do with some improvement. My mother (83) joined us with friends for dinner we kindly asked reception to lower the barrier to drop her right off outside the hotel, there was a FLAT NO meaning she had to walk further leaving her uncomfortable for the evening. Sometimes a small act of kindness could go a long way, but sadly not on this occasion. Another incident where a staff member (possibly manager) was in the lift with us but decided he had priority to exit the lift. We stayed on a Saturday and would have liked to have a drink in the bar at 18h00 but no it’s closed between 15h00 to 19h00, maybe in the week in the low season, but on a weekend. Listen these are my personal experiences, but stay for the novelty and enjoy Béziers

This is an amazing hotel in a converted prison where our room was previously cell. The whole hotel is stylish, quirky, interesting and thought provoking. Amazing. Do not miss the restaurant where the food and service is great and the views are stunning. Unforgettable experience

This novelty hotel offers a fun and comfortable stay in a former prison with no bad vibes at all. They must have burned a lot of sage! The rooms are small but high-ceilinged with a nice bed and a little annex with a modern bathroom. The drive to the hotel is a terrifying experience down tiny little streets of the old town. Best to take their advice and use the parking across the river before making your way across the Pont Vieux bridge on foot.

Beautiful pool and views. Good bike storage. Throughout the hotel it felt cleverly designed and decor which made most of building. Breakfast superb. Brilliants juices, coffee, baked items. Attentive staff. It was great staying somewhere that felt different, with history. Would highly recomend if in the area.

Pretty much the bast place to stay in town. Rooms, are a prison cell but very nice, certainly better than any prison i know. Spend some time walking around and check the place out its rather interesting. Parking is actually easy as there are halles 1 or street parking. Im guessing this is depending on the time of year.
