We stayed for 5 nights at Les Pierres Sauvages, thanks to Gabrielle and Gilles who with much love and care have created the most wholesome and relaxing place to unwind ☺️ I can’t thank them enough, merci boucoup for the exceptionally and incredibly kind and special hospitality!! We felt like we experienced Provence just that extra bit more, from Gabrielle picking us up in her Citroen Deux Chevaux from the near by station, providing sun hats and cake upon arrival, delicious rosé with olive tapenade and breadsticks, a fridge for guests filled with all the apricots you could dream of, lending us bikes for a bike ride, and even showing us the nearby Peyrassol Estate. From fresh eggs from Gabrielles chickens to the local wine, to sourdoughs at breakfast with cheese, yogurt, fruit, and a sweet treat everything was wholesome and delicious!! We had Gabrielle’s home cooked dinner one night which was super yummy, with seasonal produce and the company made it even better ☺️ Gabrielle says that nature is queen at Les Pierre Sauvages as it very much is. I’ve never seen so many butterflies! The feel throughout is ‘Provençal rustic’, every element chosen with love and care. The rooms are cool and crisp, with smooth concrete floors and light linens. Air con is very welcome in the summer! Bathrooms have a good pressure on the shower - local olive soap is provided too but bring your own shampoo etc ☺️ The views are delightful with nothing but vineyards and trees and sky and the sounds of cicadas. As the road to Les Pierres Sauvages is very up and down and wobbly, it’s a bit more difficult to access but does mean it’s nicely secluded. You can also get there by foot through the vineyards as a shortcut ☺️ the nearby town is Besse Sur Issole which was charming with a few very tasty restaurants. We walked there in 14mins but as it’s countryside and not always proper pavements, you might want a car! All in all we had the most relaxing time at Les Pierre Sauvages (spent most of the tim

We chose to stay here whilst visiting friends in nearby Le Luc. Gabrielle, the host, was helpful before we even arrived, sending her daughter down to Besse sur Issole to help us find our way to the b&b in the dark. A beautiful setting, surrounded by vineyards, the place is contemporary with subtle design items. Our room was spacious, simply furnished but elegant and with its own patio onto the garden, and a view of the pool. ||Breakfast was simple yet wonderful. Homemade jams; 8 varieties, local honey, homemade granola, yoghurt, eggs, homemade pastries served at a time convenient to us.....so not too early!||We enjoyed the pool, and time just relaxing. We also went into Besse 2 evenings, and had 2 great evenings there. Can recommend La Remise. ||On our final morning Gabrielle was happy for us to check out at 2, with no additional cost. She also provided a light but scrupmtious lunch by the pool.....again no charge.||All in all, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be coming again.

This BnB is outside the village of Besse and is best reached using sat.nav, preferably before it gets dark. Believe me it is well worth the effort, as at the end of a narrow, winding track through the maquis is a really lovely property. Gabrielle, the proprietor is extremely helpful and generous. I had arrived later than expected on a Monday evening, which is the only day she does not cook for guests. (La table d'hôte). However she offered to share what was to be their dinner thus avoiding my having to go back to the village. I ate a delicious dinner with a local rosé, cheese and dessert. The breakfast the following morning was also excellent. The place is very quiet and peaceful. Alas, I had a funeral to go to that day otherwise I would have loved to take a long walk in the surrounding area. Les Pierres Sauvages is a great place and the price for bed, breakfast and an evening meal I found most reasonable.

We only stayed one night, but we would have loved to stay much longer! The house and the rooms are very well designed, always connecting the interior with the exterior and offering quiet, relaxing and comfortable spaces. The common areas are very inviting and Gabrielle and her husband are excellent hosts, super easy going and welcoming. On top of that breakfast and dinner were amazing and we could enjoy the company of their nice guests and friends. We recommend the experience to everyone who enjoys a very charming, personal experience and likes to be in the middle of the nature!

We had the pleasure of staying 9 nights at beautiful Pierres Sauvages in September 2018. This is not the usual B&B. It is rather a small architectural boutique hotel with 5 rooms each of which has its own private patio. The grounds bordered by vineyards are beautiful and well maintained. The hotel, including our spacious room, the Silvacane, was exactly as the pictures on the hotel website. The discreet, refined decoration encourages relaxation. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern with a huge shower. The breakfast which was served in the garden during our whole stay was excellent. The selection of organic products included breads, homemade jams, local honey, a different freshly baked cake every morning, yogurts, a delicious homemade granola, fresh eggs from their own chicken that were prepared to meet your taste, juices, coffee, etc. ||Gabrielle and Gilles, the owners, are very nice people. Gabrielle offers a delicious table d’hotes dinner a few times per week at a very reasonable cost. This is a must and we were lucky to experience it 4 times during our stay. It is a set Provencal menu that consisted of an aperitif, followed by a delightful 3-course meal accompanied by wines, a platter of cheese, tea or coffee. All ingredients, including the wines, are organic and locally sourced from farms or markets. The dinner provides a nice opportunity to meet other travelers and share experiences. We keep good memories of our stay at Les Pierres Sauvages. |||We used les Pierres Sauvages as our base to visit every day a different location of Provence and Cote d' Azur, all located within 1-hour drive. As such we visited Aix-en-Provence, the Thoronet Abbey, as well as the beautiful villages of Cotignac, Tourtour, Bormes-les-Mimosas, Collobrieres, St-Tropez. We also went hiking the trails in Plan-d'Aups-Sainte-Baume. It is a nice walk and the view from the Cave of Sainte Mary-Magdalene is spectacular.

We flew into Nice on Friday 18th en-route to Carcassonne, we wanted somewhere with personality and a relaxed charm and Les Pierres Sauvages delivered exactly that. The rooms are charming the ambiance puts you into relax mode immediately. We booked Gabrielle's dinner that night and what a joy, the food was fantastic - rustic and extremely tasty, from Tapanade to Pork, Cheese to desert, lovely wines and great company with Gabrielle & Gilles, plus other guests from Belgium, Germany and UK (with some Italian as well!!!). Midnight finish and slept like royalty. We will return, certaiment!!

Les Pierres Sauvages's location is very strategic, allowing 1-hour day trips to the most beautiful locations of Cote d' azur and Provence. If you are a traveler, who values the closeness to nature, beautiful scenery and high qualitative organic products, then this is the place for you. The hostess, Gabrielle, is offering 2-3 times a week the so called "Table d' hote", which is a delicious 4-course meal self-cooked by herself and consisting of the most qualitative products that somebody can find in the best Provence markets. ||||This place is absolutely recommended to those, who are in seek to get away from busy places packed with tourists and experience the real Provence next to local people.

We chose Les Pierres Sauvages as our home base while visiting Cote D'Azur. We wanted something comfortable an quiet to come back to at the end of the day. Our bonus was that the area were it's situated it's actually really beautiful and little Besse sut Isole it's an charming village with good food and friendly people.||The rooms at Les PS are beautiful, big and very clean. Also the bed it's very comfortable. The bathroom it's chic and just big enough. ||Breakfast was very good but because we stayed there for 5 nights it got a bit boring but the homemade muesli with yogurt was absolutely amazing. My only regret it's we didn't got to taste the homemade croissants we read about on other reviews. ||We also had dinner there on one of the nights and it was good. I'm not that excited about it because i'm very picky when it comes to food and the menu had a few of the things i don't touch. Unfortunately the host didn't ask about any preferences and I didn't think to mention them in advance. The other though we're very happy with everything. ||I couldn't end without mentioning the wine that was very good. We got to try it on the first night when we got there. We were very hungry and our host was kind enough to serve us bread and olive cream, all with a glass of wine. That helped us get to the restaurants. We didn't know they don't open until 7:30-8:00 pm in France so we were caught unprepared.||I would go back there if ever in the area again because we really enjoyed the stay.
