Zuydcoote is a must-see beach in Dunkirk. There, you become a witness to history. Visiting the beach at low tide reveals shipwrecks from Operation Dynamo. Among them is the wreck of the Claude London, a water tanker towed to the beach to supply troops during the battle. It was sunk by the Germans during the evacuation of Dunkirk.

Lovely beach, came for the ship wrecks left over from operation dynamo in 1940. Was not disappointed.

The beach is long sandy and very clean as the local authorities clean it all the time. Great food outlets and wonderful people.
Easy to reach, free parking nearby, wooden steps down to beach, popular with kite surfers, nice dunes, great place for a walk.
