Amazing place to visit I enjoyed Eze village the most out of all the town's I visited. Take the 82 bus from Nice bus stop Boyer near Garibaldi tram station. It takes about 30 minutes but the bus is very crowded and only run about every 1 hour and half. The best place is the gardens and the view from them and just wondering the whole village.
Beautiful tiny village. The view of airplanes landing on nice runway appears like plane being gulped by the sea! The narrow stone staircase pathway is mesmerizing. One of the prettiest place in Nice!
Eze is amazing , However make sure u take the bus because the train from nice or neighboring areas will leave u in the dtation by Eze sur Mer… that’s where u need to either hike for an hour or take the bus but for me , it was almost sunset and no more buses were available so I used uber for 20 euros, then I enjoyed the sunset from hotel Le chèvre d’or quickly before catching the last bus going to nice
I spent half a day exploring Eze in September 2019. The village is preserved and full of art and shopping. Here you will find many independent artists selling their work. The streets are narrow and wind upwards to the top. Very picturesque. Definitely worth visiting. There is a nature preserve with an old French fort above Eze with incredible views but a car is needed to get to it.
This village is a must see on your list of places to visit while in the area. The view from the top of the castle is well worth the price of admission.
Nice old village with small ancient narrow streets filled with stores of all kinds of local commerce, a few nice little restaurants and beautiful architecture all around, to be seen... Don't be fooled by paying 3 euros to "climb up to the entrance of the village" with the electric little bus, it's literally a 5min walk from the depart of the bus and it climbs only 2 blocks... If you don't have any disability, it's really a tourist trap...
This is a pretty special place, but it was very busy when we went on a busy summer day in August. That’s to be expected, as it seems to be on all the “must do” lists on YouTube etc. narrow little alleyways winding up through the town are pretty atmospheric, and there are a few cafes/restaurants in the village, but they were all full. That said, we found a few moments of solitude and got some nice photographs. We also managed to get a drink and snack in the little cafe area just outside the mediaeval village part and closer to the high street. Worth a visit, but try and choose a quieter time than midday on a summer’s day!
Good just to make yourself lost in this medieval village, at the edge of Mediterranean sea!
