Basement bathroom/laundry room (Before and after pictures included) Would 100% recommend Tara construction to family and friends. We decided to put a toilet and vanity in our small basement laundry room. We had plumbers coming to drill through concrete in our hallway and do all the rough ins but we knew it was going to leave a terrible mess that would be more than we could handle. We wanted professionals to install the flooring, drywall, lighting etc to ensure it looked great and Ian came recommended to us by our plumber. Things I loved about working with Ian and the team… -Ian came out right away to do an assessment and gave a very fair quote for work needed. There were never any adjustments to the price. We paid the exact amount initially quoted. -the work was scheduled quickly and Ian helped with recommending quality materials for cheaper than Homedepot through a flooring supplier. -seeing the amount of work that went into each day doing the flooring and drywall properly makes me SO glad we didn’t suffer through ourselves doing it over months of weekends. Well worth the price we paid. -Each team member who came through the house communicated what they were working on, were friendly and respectful. -the finished room look great and we’re so happy!

About 5 months ago, i bought a house as my family started to grow. On budget, It needed quite a bit of renovation: The kitchen, the main bathroom and the basement bathroom. I was searching for a contractor to save the day. Ian took the responsibility for me to complete the full kitchen renovation so that me and my wife have a smooth transition from our apartment to my very first home. He is honest and on time. I have been asking for his help ever since. Ian did the full kitchen renovation then the basement washroom renovation for me. I am planning to renovate the master bathroom with him as well. Honestly, i have not went out to get another quote since him. His work ethics and workmanship is second to none. When my friends hear my experience with Ian, they get surprised because none of them had good experience in the past. They never worked with the same contractor twice. I guess, this sums up the review: Ian is someone you keep relationship for a very long time because there are very few out there like him.

Ian and his team did a beautiful job renovating my bathroom. Took out the tub and put in a custom shower. New vanity & sink installed as well. Painted walks & veil as well. So pleased with the work that was done. Super friendly crew, looking at my kitchen next and will be definitely contacting Tara Construction to do the job.

I can’t say enough good things about Ian and his team. They were extremely efficient and hard working. They replaced the tile in two bathrooms, tiled the fireplace, added shelves in two rooms and finished off other small bits. Rates were very reasonable and work was well done. Tara Construction was recommended to me by two colleagues. I felt incredibly taken care of throughout the process and even just left them the keys. I’m adding pictures so you can judge for yourself. I had a dishwasher malfunction that caused baseboard, underlay, drywall and cabinet end panel damage. I contacted Ian and he provided a reasonable quote promptly. Ian and his team commenced soon after and progressed through the repairs quickly. What impressed me most with Tara Construction was the quality of the work given the timeframe. Without exaggeration, it looks like nothing happened. The end panel match was perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Tara Construction again for my future home reno needs! A+

Ian turned my basement bathroom hallway and bedroom (which started out as a room we thought was unfixable) into a serene oasis. He took a bathroom that was rotting from the walls, ceiling was falling down, and all sorts of ugliness into a beautiful marble clad bathroom. 6 months later the quality continues to be superior to previous contractors we used. He was responsive and solved problems as they came up. He finished the job on time and budget. He even came back a few weeks later to help us fix our ceiling when our roof flooded with the snow melt, and our fireplace surround when we wanted to update it. He was easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend him and hope to use him again soon. Tried to find the before pics but couldn’t - we are so happy. There is a reason he has so many great reviews. Thanks Ian and his team !
