Le Bangale surprised me in the best way. I went in for their Indian biryani and walked out thinking about it for the rest of the day. The rice was fragrant, the spices balanced, and every bite felt like someone actually cared about getting the flavors right. The place itself has a warm, easygoing vibe. You can sit, relax, and actually enjoy your food without feeling rushed. The staff make it even better. They’re friendly, pay attention, and know how to talk to people without overdoing it. It makes the whole experience feel… human. Bottom line: great biryani, great atmosphere, and a team that clearly knows what they’re doing. I’d go back without thinking twice.

Trust me when I say that I know Indian food. I must have tried in excess of 150 Indian restaurant across 4 continents, including India. Now Le Bengale (Rennes) is added to this list of tasty & honest food very much enjoyed in simple/friendly surroundings. My Lamb Dalfrezi was expertly cooked and accompanied by fluffy, buttery rice as well as a plain naan bread. For under €21 it’s well valued and to finish it off, it’s all served with a smile. If you like Indian food, I suggest you give it a try. Thank you!

I have had the mutton curry and tandoori chicken. The price is really reasonable and the behaviour of the chef and his wife are really adorable. Enjoyed the food and well recommend for all the students specially. 🫶🌼🌼
