A brilliant concept, perfectly executed. The Signature lodges were comfortable, well built and clean. For a self-named “hotel” at hotel prices I would expect a few more hotel luxuries. Having to buy every single thing for cooking like olive oil & washing up materials, dishcloths and packs of toilet rolls for a week’s stay is wasteful for a place so focused on its eco credentials but adds expense for guests - must be a lot of waste from people buying it every week and then leaving it behind. ||The staff at Biscarrosse were super helpful and friendly, everyone from the security guard to the bar staff. The location is brilliant and the on-site facilities are great. The live music on Sunday night was fantastic. Some reviews I read complained about the limited bar food but there is a beach restaurant 3 mins walk with plenty of choice as well if you don’t fancy driving.

Beautiful location, a quiet and natural environment ( apart from the Aquapark by the lake which plays loud music all day, which makes the beach by the lake a bit loud) V small houses where all is heard from every room, no room for your stuff and not clean at all. Great pizzeria and a lot of effort is put in ecology.

We stayed for a week with the family and had a very bad experience. I would not recommended. The staff is rude and unhelpful, don't want to speak English to the guests (and if they can't, then why would you hire them to work in a place that is marketed to international guests?). All activities are in French so if you or your kids don't speak it, you are paying for nothing. The bungalows are dirty and there is no ventilation for hot days, the temperature reached 35 degrees inside one evening. We asked for a fan and were told that we can go to the nearby town and buy one. The site doesn't feel safe, anyone can enter and there is no control whatsoever. The beach nearby is nice but very crowded and chaotic. We will not come back. We are sad we decided to spend our family holidays here. I am writing this review so you don't make the same mistake.

Really disappointing stay. The house and park did not live up to the expectations. The houses were really outdated and smelled like mold. The outside of the house was covered in spider webs and droppings plus sunscreen smudges from a previous guest. Maintenance was done sloppy and houses are built packed together (which you do not see in the advertisement). All in all a real bummer… Location is really nice and the staff super friendly. The restaurants are all really good and so is the little shop (great Chocolatines) and take away pizza. On another positive note, the aqua park (kids heaven) across the street doesn’t give an form of real disturbance.

It's hard to imagine a better place to stay than this, the cabins are comfortable and the location is perfect, right across the road from the lake where you can swim and paddle board, with a lifeguard protected area and a water park nearby. The onsite bar is very nice with good food including pizzas made onsite. The area has good cycle paths to access nearby areas including Biscarosse Plage. Our cabin had air conditioning which was very nice, the site has parking away from the cabins which was busy during our stay but I think this was because the barrier wasn't working, it became much easier when this was fixed.

We recently stayed at Slow Village and were extremely disappointed with our experience. The accommodation was dirty and poorly maintained, with dust and grime everywhere. We had to clean ourselves upon arrival. The staff was uninformed, providing us with incorrect information about opening hours of the restaurant and store. Unfortunately, we had to purchase cleaning essentials at the village store in order to make the cabin clean enough to sleep in. Cleaning an entire cabin is not what we had in mind for our vacation. You also have to buy your own towel to dry the dishes with haha The cabins are also very close together, you can see everything your neighbors are doing. Overall, our stay at Slow Village was a complete letdown and we would not recommend it to anyone. There are definitely better accommodations in the area that are cleaner, friendlier, and more reasonably priced. Let our mistake help you have a more enjoyable vacation.

We had a cabane for 4 people. It is small but perfectly adequate. Think of it as camping in a very well equipped beach hut... quite different to our usual haunt but a great change. 2 bedrooms (1 mezzanine and one ground floor), shower room with toilet and a small living area with basic kitchen facilities. We also had some quite private outside space (I am not sure they are all as private).||||Sports facilities are excellent. Paddle tennis, basketball/football court, volley ball court and petanque.||||Location is just opposite the really nice lake beach with loads going on (inflatable water park, bungee trampoline, nice restaurants and bars). Havent hired bicycles yet but that is another option we want to explore and is done so from reception. Never an issue parking our hire car (each cabane has a space in the on site bcar park). Although it wasnt far to walk to the cabane we had a golf cart take us and our luggage.||||Restaurant and bar has a great aspect overlooking the lake. The food and drink in the restaurant and bar are very good, with very friendly staff.||||Down one star because the half board (demi pension) is not worth it in our view. 40 euros per adult per day gets you a much better selection for breakfast and dinner in the on site and surrounding restaurants. Half board breakfast is basic continental (no eggs, and I like eggs in the morning !) and dinner on our first night was a couple of basic choices, although house wine was included. We did ask for our money back for the remaining 6 days half board and they did so without an issue. All the staff are very helpful and attentive.||||We travelled to Arcachon (~25 mins by car) on a cloudy day and that was a great excursion with lots of nice restaurants and shops. The Dune de pyla (Europes largest sand dune) is in the way but it was so busy when we wanted to go we decided to do a separate outing.||||No aircon (as expected) so sleep was not great for me as I like it cool and we went in the height of Summer.

We stayed one week at the Slow Village with two children and our stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff (at the reception and the restaurant) is extremely friendly and helpful, the caban was exactly as displayed on the pictures and very clean. The localisation is fabulous: view of the lake from the restaurant and numerous activities in the area (bike tours, paddel on the lake, dune du pilat etc). Would highly recommend!
