Gorgeous hiking around in the ocher colored hills and landscape feels like you could be Colorado or Utah, call it Le Hûteaux de Provence hahaha. Anyway it costs 3.50 EUR for entry which is a fine price and parking is also dirt cheap and super close, but get there before noon as you know, tourists. Two trails, a 35 min and a 55 min, the town nearby is also cute with some fine vantage points, orange/yellow buildings and some cute shops.

A truly unique and beautiful place. The ochre trail reflects a fascinating part of local history — for centuries, this area was shaped by ochre mining, which once played a major role in the regional economy. The intense reds, oranges, and yellows come from natural pigments in the soil, and walking through the former quarries feels almost otherworldly. We visited in February, which was ideal: cooler temperatures, fewer visitors, and a very calm atmosphere. The colors were still striking, especially against the winter light, and the paths were easy and pleasant to walk. It felt unhurried and immersive, giving us time to really appreciate the landscape. We also visited the nearby town of Roussillon, which is charming in its own right, with ochre-toned houses that echo the colors of the trail. Together, the walk and the village make for a perfect half-day experience. Highly recommended for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone interested in the geological and cultural history of Provence.

We really enjoyed visiting Les Sentiers des Ocres. The trails are beautiful and very well laid out, with stunning colours and views throughout. It’s an easy and accessible walk, suitable for all fitness levels. The entrance fee is very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Finding a parking spot is going to be the hard part. The walking is the easy part. The entry fee is really fair. Interesting history of the area. The colour of the stone and sand is amazing. I’d recommended the longer tour for those that can walk that extra bit. The trees are also interesting. Some growing at amazing angles. And after the walk, back to tourist life, buying souvenirs and eating at a bar or restaurant.

Beautiful trail on a former ochre mining area. 3.5 euros/pax. Pretty short and easy trail for us but does get quite steep upwards via steps at one part and then quite steep downwards via sandy ochre ground at another part.

It was more of a bush walk with not that much to see. Would've been a decent hike if they didn't charge a 3.5 euros entry fee. The vegetation and terrain felt very similar to Australia, so that's probably why it didn't feel interesting to me either.

Very beautiful and unique place to visit. The path was very easy to walk (the longest was only 50 minutes). Highly recommended!

Unique colorful walk. Took us 45 minutes to do the long walk with stopping. Nice break from strolling and looking at shops. There are stairs up and down. Not for people with mobility challenges. Good opportunity to bathe in nature.
