First visit since the tie-up with 'Edonis'. Plenty of Loire valley/Saumur wines to choose, but nothing really stood out for me. A smart albeit somewhat industrial selling/shop area I fiund/ bought what I was after (and had purchased in 2024) so no complaints there. Overall experience though was a little underwhelming compared to early 2020s. Can't quite figure out whether 'Robert Marcel' brand has been bought out by Edonis or where that brand sits. Maybe a period of evolution and integration....just my opinion and thoughts.

I wrote this review two years ago and just went back. Still a Wonderful staff and excellent wines! Such an amazing way to learn about the wines of the region.

We booked a tour which was very nice! There were no other guests so it became a private tour. The guide, Philippe, spoke English very well as he lived in England for 10+ years which made communication very easy. The wine tasting at the end was very generous. He told us all about the wines and showed us his favourites. I think we tasted about 20 (!) wines. The bottles of wine are not too expensive, with the heritage ones costing about €15 and an average bottle about €10. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area to taste the new wines and restock some more :) definitely would recommend going here!

I live in the UK and I've been going here for years. Love the dry red sparkling wine! It's good value, even after you've had to pay duty when you bring some back to the UK.

We arrived before noon during the weekday so it wasn’t too busy. Laurens did an outstanding job taking us through a wine tasting of white, rose and red. It was more like a private class - for free. We bought 7 bottles to drink during the week and would’ve bought more if they shipped to America. The wine was very good but the experience was exceptional.

Struck lucky on our first visit and did not have too long to wait for an English speaking tour. Five Euros per person for an excellent guided tour of the caves with explanation of the history and wine making processes by Philippe and his array of films and demonstrations. The tasting after the tour was very generous, so be prepared to appoint a designated driver or spit it out. Bargain. The Chateau at Breze, nearby, is also well worth a visit.

I visited here with a group I was on holiday in the area with. We had a tour of the caves followed by some wine tasting. The tour was excellent. We were guided by Phillipe, who spoke fluent English (very helpful for those of us who haven't yet mastered French!) and certainly knew his stuff. After the very informative tour we popped up to the store/tasting room where we tried several different wines. We sampled wines from different locations in the surrounding areas, as well as the different types of wine. Would certainly recommend this tour to anybody who's looking to learn more about wine and have the opportunity to taste plenty of varieties!
