We had a lovely stay kicked off by an amazing tour from Sarah of the farm, gardens and fireflies at night that ended with wine and some bread with tomato’s and olive oil from the farm! Highly recommend this tour if you are planning to stay. The pool was lovely, especially the view. If you are thinking about it just book!
Cons:||Mold in the shower: It was all around the beams, in the wall lining, and in the corners of the shower. I dont know why its not letting me post the photos, but trust me its not good. You can see them on my google review of them. ||Poor ventilation: There’s only a small window for airflow, and guests aren’t allowed to use the A/C or heater during certain months. The window also has no screen, so you have to choose between being overheated all night or getting bitten by mosquitoes. We visited during the colder season (around 50°F / 10°C), but the building was still uncomfortably hot.||False promises: The property provides an “emergency line” for use at night, supposedly for anything you might need — even water. When we called, the staff told us to drink the sink water.||Dishonesty and lack of care: After we reported the mold and asked to change rooms, they hung up on us and said they’d handle it in the morning. We had no choice but to stay the night. The next morning, they promised a full refund and told us to leave, claiming they had already confirmed it with Booking.com. Later, Booking.com informed us the property had denied the refund. This place shouldn’t be operating under these conditions — it’s unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unprofessional. Avoid this property unless you want stress, health risks, and disappointment.||Pros:||The animals||The views|(Which you can enjoy without staying here.)
What we truly liked was the park and the opportunity to spend the morning or evening in a calm, natural setting after a busy day in the city. There is also a very pleasant terrace for an evening aperitivo with a beautiful view. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. On the downside, we agree with many other guests that the price–quality ratio does not meet expectations. For €250 per night, the room was very simple, quite small, and overlooked the parking area. The breakfast was also rather limited: cold boiled eggs (likely prepared in advance), and mostly sweet and cold options. Overall, the property feels more like a simple farm that requires some maintenance and finishing touches, rather than a hotel in this price range.
We stayed here for two nights in June during our trip through Italy, and to say it was the highlight of our journey would be an understatement. From the moment we arrived until we reluctantly departed 48 hours later, we were in complete bliss. The apartment we stayed in was slightly removed from the main building, a truly stunning, authentic Tuscan-style space that instantly made us feel at home. The pool was simply breathtaking, complemented by incredible views and an atmosphere of total peace and tranquility. It has been six months since our visit, and we still speak about this place constantly. Calling it a gem doesn’t quite do it justice. We cannot wait to return next summer. We also brought home some olive oil from the shop, which we use sparingly, saving every drop until we can come back to stock up again. Truly the best. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience.
Very disappointing experience. Stayed in Terrace apartment for 4 nights in April 2026 with my family (3 adults, 2 teenagers). Not much has changed in this place since it was a monastery in 17th century. Staff was very stand-offish, not once did we get a greeting from anyone, not once anyone asked how we’re going, the hot water heater wasn’t turned on when we checked in (luckily we did find the switch as there was nobody at the reception when we tried to have a shower). I felt we weren’t really welcome, like they didn’t quite expect anyone to stay there and honestly, I wouldn’t stay there again. Definitely not a value for money. The place is quite remote. There is a way to get to Florence by bus but not a very easy one. We ended up taking taxi 50 Euro one way.
The Farm and Botanical Gardens are one of a kind. The overlook into Florence and Fiesole is a sight to behold. The food is always fresh. This is a true farm to table dining place. The rooms are actually quite large. The pool is great for the hot days and just to relax. This place is so kid friendly. I see why so many locals come to this place.
Attended a wedding reception here. Nice and airy, tranquil and the good was excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable day.
Our room was massive and beautiful with an unbelievable view. We stayed in Terraza. Staff was friendly, pool was incredible. Very relaxing stay, highly recommend. AC in room was better than most we’ve had in Italy. Mattresses were a bit uncomfortable. Great place to stay with children. It’s a bit of a trip if you intend to do a lot in the city. 20-30 minute taxi, about $30-$45 each way. But there’s two restaurants a short walk up the road that were good and the food on property is also great.
