What an absolute dream this place was. The only downside was not having more time to enjoy this palace. Immaculate service from Leonie, wonderful breakfast, beautiful views, wonderful house, peacocks outside. Bliss. Start to finish. Thank you all so much

The location of the chateau is in the heart of the Somme battlefields which is a perfect launch point for exploring the region. We were greeted by Ann who welcomed us to the Chateau and introduced us to the resident peacock. Welcomed us with cooled water and homemade chocolate cake ❤️. Our room was clean and comfortable. We slept with our windows open to allow air movement as the temps were a little high. This is a spectacular historic residence so no a/c so if you are uncomfortable with hotter temperatures pack a USB personal fan and you will be fine. Breakfast was exceptional and locally produced. SO LOVED OUR TIME HERE!

We had the most wonderful stay at the chateau. We truly loved the experience. 3 nights gave us the opportunity to visit so many lovely places. |Last but not least was Anne. What a beautiful lady she is. From the moment she greeted us to our departure she made us so welcome. Every morning she had laid out the most amazing breakfast. She was always there to help with any queries we had. What a gem she is !|We would definitely like to come back in the near future. ||Kim & Terry

We were warmly greeted at this beautiful Chateau both before and at arrival! Nicolas emailed suggestions for the area and Anne showed us around onsite and made the best breakfast!|The decor was beautiful! Loved the peacock, Fifi and the lovely grounds. |Our room was huge with a sitting area and large separate bathroom. |Our only wish we stayed longer!

We had a fabulous time at this charming French château. The château and its enchanting surroundings transported us back in time. Léonie and Anna were incredibly sweet and friendly, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensuring we enjoyed every aspect of our stay to the fullest.

Easily found in the village of Contay, we drove through the gates and up the drive before parking in front of the Chateau. Very traditional building and we were greeted by Nicolas who with his parents and sister own the Chateau. |We were shown into the more general areas of the Chateau which had traditional furnishings then Nicholas took us up to our rooms, it has a great feel to it and all facilities were included, we stayed 2 nights and had fabulous breakfasts each morning, it also has good grounds for a walk around. |The Chateau is on the back road to Arras which is about 25 miles away, this road has many of the War Graves Cemeteries signed on it so a good base if you want a place to stay whilst following the 2nd world war actions in the area of France.

Wow this place is stunning. It’s like being in a fairytale. Each room is decorated to a high standard with care and attention and original features retained throughout. |The grounds outside were just beautiful and my only wish is we had longer. Breakfast was very tasty and filled us up for our drive to the next destination. I would highly recommend a stay here and Nicolas is a fantastic host who goes above and beyond.

An amazing elegant and authentic place to stay. The host family are warm, welcoming and very helpful. We’ll definitely be back!
