One of the best Italian restaurants in Paris, without any doubt. IDA, located on rue de Vaugirard, offers exceptional Italian cuisine with fresh, high-quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The pasta is outstanding, the flavors are authentic, and every dish reflects true Italian craftsmanship. Warm and elegant atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. A must-visit Italian restaurant in Paris — highly recommended.
We stopped by for lunch and were blown away by the cuisine that we decided to come back for dinner. This place is hands down one of the best restaurants we've been to in a while. We highly recommend checking it out. Every dish is on point, and they've got an outstanding selection of wines to complement your meal. I gotta give a shoutout to the service too - they took the time to explain each dish to us, and the recommended wines were the perfect pairing. Overall, it was a top-notch dining experience that left us impressed.
Not our first visit to this delightful restaurant, every bite of everything is heavenly . The mixtures ,the freshness of the ingredients , the flavors are just great . Not to forget the desserts that are refined and delicious.
The Christmass eve menu was a great experience. Everything was well executed, tasty, and fresh. Some dishes could have benefitted from being more refined, like the lamb chops and the panettone desert.
Ordered lunch menu it was quite nice for the price. Particularly liked the dessert! Different layers in a coffee cup, not really tiramisu but very tasty. Wasn’t abit fan of the signature carbonara tho 😢 maybe lack of flavour or salt?? But the ravioli my friend ordered was good. Over all nice lunch place and will recommend
Note that weekday lunch set is 38 euro and weekend lunch set is 55 euro. Found the dishes to be made and served with care with a charismatic waiter explaining the dishes. To be honest can't remember now what they are made of, but the most impressive was the carbonara wrapped in pork cheek bacon and topped with an egg yolk, lovely experience. Note that still water costs 8 euros.
This is a tough review because I really had high hopes for our first Michelin Star restaurant for our Anniversary, but this place left us questioning the entire Michelin Star criteria. We went on New Year’s Eve so it was a fixed menu which is typical for a holiday. I tried 5 times to make our reservations through ‘The Fork’ via the link provided but it kept telling me ‘the last table time was taken’, however when the hotel staff called to make the reservation they had plenty of openings. The price was a bit steep in my opinion but since this was a Michelin Star restaurant and a five course meal I thought it was normal. Upon arrival I thought I was at the wrong place. It is unassuming and has no curb-appeal whatsoever. On the inside you almost felt like you were at an American take-out restaurant. The server did an excellent job ensuring we had everything we needed and checked on us frequently. Throughout the meal there were several Uber Eats drivers coming in and getting take out orders but there appeared to be issues with the orders because they kept having to wait. I thought that was very odd for a Michelin Star rated restaurant. The foie gras was good with excellent presentation, and the carpaccio with caviar was delicious and well prepared. Lots of different flavors in this single dish. The risotto was probably my favorite dish. A tad oily, but overall very good and flavorful. The Saffron in it was a nice touch that I’ve never had before. The scallops with truffle mushrooms were good but the mushrooms were a bit too pungent for my liking. The smell of them were very strong even while eating them. The scallops were meaty and delicious. Someone came in selling flowers to all of us eating which was something I’ve never experienced in a restaurant before. The dessert was fairly good but I didn’t care for the flavor of the cake. It was chocolate with dried fruit (tasted like raisins ) with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on the side. The cake wasn’t as moist as other p
The owner of this place regrettably has a chip on his shoulder. Given the high price and the good food, it’s an equation that does not suit him nor his patrons well. A shame, as I would have gladly come back otherwise.
