We spent an afternoon here with our children (12 + 16) and the amount of effort and variety of displays and games blew me away. I wished the kids had been a bit younger- it’s ideal for primary ages really, but we had loads of fun. Building arches, archery, pony rides, puzzles to solve, armour rooms, face painting, cafe etc etc!! It’s fab!!!! Definitely a great option for young families if it’s too hot and it gets you inside for a bit. Also v close to Lac Montbel.

Great fun activities for family with kids. Instead of talking about medieval times, you can live it. Friendly family-run business. Recommend

I have many years of experience in tourism and experience management, and I have to say i was really pleasantly surprised by how this team made the visit special for my partner, 16 year old daughter and myself. The young staff was superfriendly and made the various topics fun and educational with limited means, which is even more impressive. Loved the caligraphy workshop, how to build an arch wokshop and the weaponry demo. Top job team Chateau Chalabre, keep it up!

Love the experience and everything is run on a voluntary basis and people have been kind and very engaged!

More of a grand house than a castle, various things to do, nice walk through the woods. A little expensive for what it is but enough to entertain two young boys for an afternoon
