Charming place with a huge queue. It can be difficult to find a seat without reservation. You are sitting practically together with the neighbor customer as the place is quite tiny. I liked that and found it cute. Staff very friendly. I found the zucchini flowers too bready and with cooked with lots of fat.

This little restaurant served the most delicious meal in Nice. We had zucchini flowers, pesto pasta, beef stew, lemon pie and nothing has compared. Everything was fresh and the beef fell apart and melted in your mouth. You need to grab a reservation on Facebook or Instagram so you don't miss out!

We went there for lunch and it was unforgettable! It is a small restaurant only seating about 24 people so the atmosphere is very cozy yet livelyat the same time! All the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Onto the food, all the ingredients are sourced freshly that morning and the food is prepared right before they open. We had the onion pie, pesto pasta and fish stew. Desptite how basic pesto past might sound, it was the best Ive had. It was cooked to perfection, with a depth of flavour. The onion pie was also a very interesting dish I would definitely try again. If I ever travel to Nice again I will definitely be back!

Amazing food — especially the pesto pasta, it was so good that we ordered a second plate. We made our reservation online and were seated immediately without any waiting. All of the staff were fast, friendly, and welcoming. A special thanks to the Tunisian staff member who took great care of us and made us feel very comfortable throughout the evening

La Merenda. Dominique Le Stanc. And the beauty of honesty. La Merenda in Nice is, for me, one of those restaurants you never forget. Not because of luxury or staging, but because of its personality, authenticity and an exceptionally honest cuisine. The restaurant is small, narrow and almost discreet – and perhaps that is exactly what makes it so special. The atmosphere feels simple, lively and completely natural. This is not a place trying to impress. It is a place to experience true Cuisine Niçoise. What impressed me most was Dominique Le Stanc. When I met him, I immediately had the feeling of meeting someone who had truly found his path – with calmness, humility and a deep love for gastronomy. He worked with some of the greatest names in French cuisine, cooked at the highest level and earned Michelin stars. And yet, what you feel most strongly in him is humanity. No arrogance. No distance. Just a man who genuinely wants to make his guests happy. For nearly three decades, he has led La Merenda with a consistency and passion that have become rare today. In the mornings, he still rides his bicycle to the market himself, the kitchen deliberately remains small, and the products are at the center of everything. That is exactly what gives this place its unique soul. Culinarily, La Merenda remains deeply rooted in traditional Cuisine Niçoise. The dishes feel honest, uncomplicated and full of flavor. Everything is prepared with fresh local products and with deep respect for the recipes and the culinary identity of Nice. Nothing feels over-staged, nothing artificially modernized. That is precisely where the strength of this cuisine lies. Everything feels handcrafted, authentic and cooked with remarkable consistency. What touches me personally is this: here, it is not about appearing perfect. It is about being real. And perhaps that is where the true beauty of gastronomy lies. Anyone visiting Nice and wishing to discover authentic Cuisine Niçoise should not miss La

Really a gem in old town Nice - space for 24 people so reservation is a must. We had the best onion pie ever, the stew and mousse for desert and a wonderful rose from Provence just below 100 euro for a delicious lunch for 2. They only take cash but there’s an ATM around the corner.

Wonderful experience at La Merenda. It's a small restaurant so reservations are recommended. We got the fried zucchini flowers, stuffed sardines, tripe, and pesto pasta. Everything was delicious. The pesto pasta was definitely the standout and one of our favorite dishes in France. It's pretty cool to see how the chefs work in such a cramped place but somehow it all works out great. Highly recommend if in Nice.

One of the best restaurants in Nice. The chef and the team are true professionals. All dishes were just amazing. Especially the pasta with pesto is their signature dish.
