LE HAMEAU DES AIGUES

Very lovely stay near the train station and minutes from the marina and the beach. Local and homemade treats for breakfast. Pleasant staff. Highly recommend a spa visit during your stay!

We could mention a few things that weren't perfect, but it's far from our intention to focus on that, as many other aspects were truly good. We especially appreciated the breakfast — a wide variety of food, all very tasty. We appreciate the cheese selection. We really liked our room with a garden view. Having a small kitchenette was a good thing for us. The mattress was very comfortable, and we slept very well. The reception staff were kind, and the lady in charge of breakfast was extremely hardworking and smart. A small downside was the internet connection — it worked at times, but at other times, we couldn't connect at all. However, this wasn’t a big issue for us, as we had a mobile data plan that included roaming. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

The accommodation was very clean and well appointed. The room we were allocated was accessible via the bin area, which was very smelly. Also, we paid to take our dog but the outside space was not enclosed (shared with other adjoining rooms) so we could not really use it. In the heart of the university area which is very interesting but watch out for the bikes! No, there is a charge of €8 for the parking

The staff was very nice and we felt us welcome. The hotelroom was nice and working. Our balcony was on the sunny side and this was very nice. The breakfast was very good. We spent here 3 nights with our 2 dogs. It was very nice area and we walked on the seaside with our dogs. The shops and eating places are near. The internet was not working very well in our room.||We will come back again, this was so good experience for us.

Nice clean and quiet but it feels more like a Hostel than Hotel good location

Nice hotel, no restaurant for evening meal, but it’s a 15 minute walk to lots of restaurants overlooking the marina where you can watch the sunset. Ask for a quiet room, we were awake most of the night with some sort of function going on. Finally got to sleep around 3am and then we were wakened by traffic noise at 7am. So didn’t have the best sleep. Was expensive for one night €170! for not a lot of sleep and lots of noise

We stayed here as stop number two en-route back to Euro-tunnel. x3 people sharing the room. ||Absolutely spotless from a cleaning perspective. Great nights sleep (bed top draw) and a proper single bed provided. Walk in wet room, shower no bath obviously. ||Decent kitchenette providing everything one would for self-catering. Tea & a small bottle of water provided .||Parking is entered via a barriered entrance adjacent to the venue. Interestingly we arrived late pm c.1600hrs, busy but plenty of space, within an hour or so full! Those with an EV will have access to charging points (x3 or 4 available) I would imagine in peak summer the car park will fill up with guests cars quickly.||Breakfast plentiful & catering for all tastes. (really good) as I state in the title property is excellent & would make a good base for those wishing to stay longer than one night!||However, the local area specifically near McDonalds is not the place to be! It is definitely worth the effort to take the 15 minute stroll to the harbor area the main town area - which is far nicer. ||The staff at the hotel friendly, helpful and multi-lingual. ||Would I stay here again, yes but would avoid the outside area.

Athome Residence was the perfect place to stay for a few days in La Rochelle. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, the car parking was secure and only 15 minutes walk to the old town. Also, the Spa was a bonus, where you pay, but you have the place to yourself. Wonderful!!
