3*-hotel of the Logis de France hotel chain. Very well located in a quiet residential area, 5 min. walk to the beach, 10 min. to the centre of the village. Our (standard) room was on the ground floor. It had a big comfy boxspring bed (1m80 wide x 2m10 long!) with thick soft topper and enough storage room. The window had shutters and the room had a good working air conditioning. It looked as if the room had been renovated recently (no decoration, though). Such a shame they didn't do the same to the bathroom. This was really old and in need of - at least - a lick of paint. Therefore my overall rating of 4 instead of 5.||Everything was very clean, though.||Extensive buffet breakfast in the morning with fresh orange juice (you can make your own juice), cold cuts, cheese, the best baguettes and croissants ever, etc.||Staff were all very friendly and helpful. ||The hotel has a private parking (street parking wouldn't be a problem, either) and a closed 'chalet' for bikes. Very convenient.||We had dinner at the hotel one night and though it wasn't bad, we felt it was somewhat expensive.||We were sorry to leave after five nights.

We stopped here on our way down to Spain and loved it. We were a bit scared after reading old reviews but the hotel is very clean, comfortable, the staff is really nice and helpful and the food is very good and refined. We walked to the beautiful beach and had a swim, walked around the shops in the centre and then had a nice dinner in the hotel -and the kids could play in the swings and minigolf while we waited. We had some local beers, and ate outside;very relaxing. In a very calm area so no noise at all. We loved also the eco-friendly touch; almost zero waste! Solar panels, you can make your own juice, breakfast things kept in the fridge so that they don't have to be thrown away... Thanks for a relaxing stay.

Les Vagues was a great place to stay. The reception was professional and friendly; we were offered a choice of rooms, all with a different character and we chose the cheapest which was lovely: clean, nicely furnished with a good bathroom, and big enough to feel comfortable. We ate two breakfasts and dinners and the food was well prepared, interesting with a good choice of wines to accompany the dinner. The service was impeccable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to anybody traveling in the Landes area. The hotel is close to beaches and a fantastic network of well surfaced cycling trails through the surrounding forests (over 230km of such trails) so there are plenty of touristic adventures to be enjoyed.

We booked a room here for two nights as the hotel has maximum ratings with Logis de France for accommodation and food i.e. 3 table lamps and 3 cocottes. For info these indicate "High quality venues featuring a comprehensive range of services to perfect your stay" and "An elegant restaurant offering a dining experience that values the culinary arts, high quality products and excellent service" respectively. Having stayed and dined there I cannot imagine how they achieved these ratings as the place does not merit either. ||||The place is clean and tidy as one would expect, but decidedly tired-looking with 70s décor. Certainly not "a high quality venue".||||The first night we dined in and chose from their gourmet menu. We both decided on cuisse de canard which was truly dreadful. It arrived looking like it had been kept warm for days and tasted like it too. Dried up doesn't come close. Our desserts we equally terrible and at 30+ euros each this was not cheap dining. Even the dining room looked downmarket with a fridge/freezer in one section along with some shelves holding various items of stock. The service was indifferent too.||||Rather than endure a similar dining ordeal on our second night we ate in 5th Avenue, a nearby beach side burger bar. OK, it's not a pukka restaurant, and maybe I’m comparing apples with box cars, but it was terrific with great food, good service, and extremely reasonable prices. This couple of oldies loved it.||||Les Vagues should be prosecuted under the French equivalent of the trades description act and Logis de France should hang its head in shame after awarding the highest classification in both categories to this establishment.

We stayed for about 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. The people of the house are all very supportive nice and friendly. The room was keept very clean on a daily base and the breakfast was our highlight in the morning. The hotel is situated perfectly within the pines, everything is reachable on foot. A big like from our side.

Super location in a beautiful residential area in walking distance from city centre and beaches. Very convenient for travellers with a dog because the beach were dogs are allowed is only a short walk away. Very friendly staff and super breakfast. We will definitely come back when visiting France’s Atlantic Coast

Quiet hotel on the edge of the village – it is Biscarosse Plage not Biscarosse. Nice little place with plenty of nice restaurants.||The hotel is very quiet – in need of a bit of a touch up. The rooms are clean but vary a lot in size. We had a room with a terrace (at the top with no lift) which was very good - although the terrace was small we could sit out in the evening sun.||Breakfast buffet was o.k.||Has a nice garden and you can have breakfast outside if the weather is good.||There is a restaurant which serves good simple food.||Recommended – although you should pay the extra for a better room.

Never again!! ||We booked a last minute to see some sun this summer. We picked the hotel based on the nice pictures and the positive reviews. ||||What a disappointment!!! The pictures are as old as the hotel which has never been renewed since the first construction. The room was small, the beds terrible and except for a safe and a flat screen tv there are no other facilities in the room. No airco, no mini bar or fridge, water boiler, etc. ||||The hotel has no room service and not even an elevator. ||||Breakfast is OK, but in a small and noisy room. The terrace was closed. ||||Definitely not worth 3 stars!!||||But our worst experience was the fact that we had to move to another room 2 times in 4 nights! Which was told to us only when we arrived. (In fact: they told us to move 1 time, but it turned out to be 2 times) And they still wanted us to pay the full price. Apologies, yes. But a gesture of offering us free breakfast or anything else: no way. ||||Eventually, we decided to cancel the last night, but again: no mercy. We paid the booking in full and they didn't reimburse anything. ||||This was our worst experience ever!!
