My first visit to Les Grandes Médiévales d’Andilly, and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. We opted for the premium parking, which costs €25 for the day. It’s not cheap, but it allows you to park just a few hundred meters from the entrance, avoiding the shuttle buses and making access much more convenient. The real highlight of the event is the atmosphere. The medieval village is beautifully recreated, with wooden structures, market stalls, costumed participants, musicians, and plenty of details that make you feel immersed in another era. Walking through the different areas is an experience in itself. The food stands, artisan shops, and merchants selling medieval-inspired clothing and accessories all contribute to the unique ambiance. The live music, fanfares, and roaming performers were particularly enjoyable and, in my opinion, one of the strongest aspects of the festival. The setting around the jousting arena is also very well designed and adds to the overall charm. As for the shows, they were enjoyable but somewhat underwhelming compared to similar events I’ve attended. The falconry demonstrations and jousting tournaments were nice to watch, but I have seen more impressive performances elsewhere. This would be the main area for improvement. That said, the atmosphere, scenery, and attention to detail more than make up for it. It’s the kind of event that I think everyone should experience at least once. Overall, a very enjoyable day and a festival I would happily recommend to anyone visiting the Geneva region.

The event was really well organized with lots of activities to do and see, amazing decorations, and great actors that brought everything to life. Plenty of places to eat and enjoy the atmosphere. We all really enjoyed ourselves and are already thinking about coming back next year—maybe even for the whole weekend. Definitely something worth doing!

One of my favorite annual events around Geneva! Spectacular multi day medieval show put in place by people with true passion and love to this epoque. We went multiple times as adult groups or with kids - there are endless things to see and to do for each age! If you get tickets few weeks in advance, there's a nice discount. Usually it happens around May or June every year, and there's lots of helpful information on there site published well in advance.

I spent a great day with my family in the park. The stuff is great and very helpful. On the other hand, it had way to many people, it was crazy, we had to wait for everything way to long, already to go in it took us about 1 hour. Not enough restrooms for so many people. The prices for the drinks was ok. The shows was well organized, and the actors well trained and presented a very high quality show.

I fully recommend it to all who enjoy taking a step back in history. All the volunteers and staff made the day fun and memorable for the family.
