Excellent hotel with an ideal central location in the city. The breakfast was delicious and the staff consistently friendly and helpful. The gym, while compact, was well-maintained and clean. However, the bed was unfortunately very uncomfortable and lacked adequate support, which affected the quality of my sleep.

Good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. The lobby/ bar area is great and has a lovely vibe. The room was a decent size. Unfortunately, though, I felt there was a slight musty smell in the passage.

This is a beautiful building with lots of quirky features and a great location. About 15 mins walk to the centre. The hotel has a relaxed vibe. Friendly, efficient staff. The welcome cocktail was a nice touch. Rooms are small but clean. Really good breakfast with a vast selection. A big downside was the bathroom door. Nobody wants a glass bathroom door. Zero privacy, especially when it's at the bottom of the bed. The sliding doors are heavy and don't move smoothly, it's enough to wake the whole hotel up nevermind the person you're staying with. The parking (I messaged to reserve) was full. We booked somewhere 10 mins walk away(for a high price)but I booked this hotel specifically because there was parking on site(apparently). Someone from housekeeping also walked into our room on the 2nd day(it was fairly early) All in all we had a good nice time.

Seriously this place is exceptional! Stunning building, well thought out interior, incredible breakfast and best of all staff that go above and beyond and with a smile!!! Everyone was so kind and helpful and Liam in particular could not have done more to make our stay a weekend we will never forget! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

The hotel has a modern and casual style, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and cheerful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The building is lovely, It used to be An old university building, The bar and entrance is lovely. The staff are excellent and that’s where it stops. The rooms, especially the accessible room is not accessible, My wheelchair couldn’t go over the bump to get into the room, For ecological reasons, they keep the whole hotel bedrooms at a freezing temperature, The staff were lovely and brought me an extra duvet, but I slept in a hat a thermal vest, a warm night dress, and two duvets and couldn’t get warm. The bed is really comfortable, The accessible bathroom, you cannot get a wheelchair up to the sink, And there was no chair in the shower no one is going to take their wheelchair into the shower, Also, the mirror is at such a level that you couldn’t use it to do your make up there was no comfortable chairs in the room and it’s not a hotel to go to if you want any Normal extras. I asked if I could have a kettle in my room I explained that I have medicine that I have to take with a A hot drink the suggestion was that I came downstairs to reception(In my Night dress) To get myself a drink, so I took a tea up to bed and took my medicine the next morning with freezing cold tea. The breakfast is €17 but there was not catering for people that needed gluten-free or dairy free or have any dietary needs. Pack your own slippers because this hotel doesn’t provide them for being part of the Marriot chain one would expect slippers, tea and coffee making facilities, et cetera. I thought it was an age thing, Put my son who’s a millennial told me he doesn’t like Moxie either. And I make a plea for any hotel who has an accessible room to have a window that you can see out of if you’re in a wheelchair! Is someone who is chronically ill or disabled unless they’re travelling for work is travelling for pleasure they want to have a holiday they want to feel wanted Moxie made me feel a burden. Great staff and location but the room itself, not so much. The shower had no water pressure which made it difficult to wash up. The staff was aware of it but could nothing about it. I asked for more pillows but the staff said there were no extra pillows available (a known issue, apparently).

Rude staff + bedbugs + bad amenities + No AC The location is the only positive. However, the service is terrible and the receptionist with glasses is particularly unhelpful. Her default response to anything is “no” “fully booked” or “not possible”. For example, she initially said there was no parking but then when a colleague gave us a space we discovered there were loads available. The internal design is strange too. We weren’t given any introduction so we had to search for the garage and hotel entrances after 10 pm when the main outside gate closed. The rooms are tiny and the lighting is poor. I’m quite surprised this is part of Marriott Bonvoy. The temperature in Lille was 24 degrees, yet the room was boiling hot and there was no air conditioning. It was centrally controlled and set to heat mode. Rooms facing the front yard can be very noisy from drinkers sitting outside.
