I had studied at CILFA since 9 months for 3 session (2022/10-2023/06) and I had experience of joining activities and DELF. I'm highly recommended CILFA because of following reasons : 1) Teaching quality : all teachers of CILFA are very professional, most of them are certificated by DELF exam, so they know very well of pain points and delivery clear direction to pass exam with high points. The class is always less than 12 person, everyone speaks in the class. (I reached > 70 on DELF B1 after sessions) 2) Accessible teaching material : I love the small library of CILFA even i did not spend too much time to explore there. But all materials are enough for foreigners. As i know, the materials are diverse, you can even find a translations book of cooking equipment. 3) Actives : I joined 2 session which was about 6 months. I like the way that CILFA arranged actives with seasons. It helps me to settle down my life of Annecy quicker. To explore around with teacher is safer and easier. Those activities are all unique, only "To know Annecy" is repeat. 4) Supporting class (were all free): sometimes CILFA will hold up supporting class such as "pronunciation" and "speaking". I love it very much because it points out my weak point and the speaking material are fun (Big thanks to Virginie). It was easier to practice listening and speaking at the same time. 5) Hospitality : There were free "tutor" session on every Monday, students could ask ANY question about France or French to teacher. They are always kind to answer. I had problem of apply french telephone number at the beginning, I solved it by their help. One of our classmate had problem to see a doctor, CILFA helped her to make a reservation. CILFA is always a nice bridge for communication between accommodation (Jean Monnet residence). If you have any personal issue which might conflict with your class, CILFA office is able to discuss and even adjust but it depends on your situation. 6) Information : Annecy is not a big

I have spent the last 6 months at Cilfa learning french and it has been an amazing experience! When I first arrived in France I couldn't even say "bonjour" correctly and now I speak french every day and pretty much all the time! Cilfa provide well structured and organised classes. The classes are always small which makes learning very personal and encourages conversation. All of the teachers are amazing at what the do and are super friendly and approachable. I would also like to recommend Cilfas weekly activities which are an excellent way to learn about french culture, customs, and traditions particularly those from Savoie (it's also a great opportunity to eat some good french food!). Overall, I can't thank cilfa enough for the amazing job they've done teaching me french and I recommend them to anyone who would like to learn French quickly! Thank you Cilfa!

I finished my 1st course with Teacher Floriane, as main teacher, and I don’t have doubts to recommend studying here. CILFA is a great school, they have great teachers, very friendly and professional. If you don’t speak or listen nothing about French, this is your school. Don’t miss to request information and detail in its Administration area, Virgine is always open to help. If you have the opportunity to pay for the “social activities” I recommend them, they will help you to continue practicing and speaking with funny activities.

I have spent around 2 months of learning with CILFA and I have to admit that I absolutely like their way of teaching. Personally, I have attended a number of french classes both face-to-face and online formats in and outside Annecy. CILFA, by far, is my favorite place to learn french. It differs from other schools in a way that the teaching framework is very well-organized, the teachers know exactly how to teach french to foreigners, and you can tell that everyone at school puts their hearts into teaching. Meanwhile, I am really looking forward to joining one of their classes soon later this year!

I had the most incredible experience studying French at CILFA for 7 months. The teachers here are truly amazing—they teach with passion, warmth, and a genuine care for each student's progress. Not only are they highly skilled, but they also create a fun, encouraging, and supportive learning environment. Every class was a joy, and I can't speak highly enough of the entire team. If you're looking to learn French, CILFA is the place to be!

I went through two years of sessions at Cilfa starting in A2 through to the successful completion of the DELF B2 exam. Whether your goal is to pass a language exam, or just learn French, this is the place to be. The teachers are extremely experienced, and don't just teach you academic French, but real world French preparing you to navigate the country and culture in all it's facets. Class sizes are small, and you get the attention necessary to move quickly. You'll have to work hard and study if you want to progress, but they can support you regardless of your pace. Definitely would recommend to anyone serious about learning French!

I’ve been studying French at CILFA for the past eight months - I began with zero French and have now recently comfortably passed the DELF B1 exam. I can highly recommend CILFA. The four professors who have taught me have all been excellent. The classes are interactive, only French is spoken in the class, and cover French grammar, spoken French and written French. For those wishing to pass DELF exams, class exercises and tests are structured similarly to the DELF exams. Classmates come from all over the world and there is a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend CILFA for anyone who is serious about language learning. The teachers are super friendly with tons of experience. Annecy is a beautiful location with its charming old town nestled between the lake and the Alps.
