Nice place to visit, old town is full of character, thevgun emplacements are interesting too, made me look up some history of the site.

Amazing place. Nice sunny weather mid May. I highly recommend doing a boat trip to the local islands and to see the coast.

An incredible view of the cliffs and the port of Bonifacio from this vantage point. Even before you enter the citadel, after the first ascent and climbing higher, the view truly takes your breath away. Both the western and eastern sides offer stunning panoramas. From here, you’re just a stone’s throw away from the Old Town.

A must see in Bonifacio area. Breathtaking views from the see and the port. Simply beautiful

It is a busy tourist trap. If you like that sort of thing it ok. There is some history and great views, especially at the top of the town near car park 5. Don’t just jump in the first car park, sit I the queues and make it up 4 or 5 . Cheaper and better views. There is a little cafe hidden behind the church good coffee and a loo.

If you find yourself in the extreme sud of Corsica then you will undoubtedly be in the Bonifacio citadel. As a day trip there is much you can see from shops in winding laneways, to ancient fortifications, marketplaces and sellers of the Corsican red coral which is sustainably harvested from the Mediterranean. If you stay for a day or two you can experience a sunset from the battlements and the local cuisine. If you stay a week Bonifacio will remain in your heart forever. There are many walks for avid hikers to coves and beaches. As well as boat trips from the quay. Bonifacio has tourism to suit every budget from backpacker to luxe. Walking shoes are a must.

Beautiful climb to the Bonifacio citadel and old town. Amazing views to the town and to the surrounding Mediterranean. Highly recommend to make the climb during sunset to see the amazing views.

Both a small fishing port and home to the most extravagant yachts, the Marina de Bonifacio has a very special character. The views it offers of the nearby citadel are breathtaking, as are those of the goulet – the city’s maritime entrance – and the cliffs. This little port has been around for a very long time, witnessing the city’s history at first hand, and is still alive and kicking thanks to a multitude of activities.
