Full of character this Hotel/Restaurant offers a buffet starter and dessert with a large selection of main courses and charming staff - so friendly! Price is very reasonable at €17.50 for three courses (weekdays). Food is good honest home cooking and served with a smile. Love it!

Loved our lunch here today. Very good value buffet style food, and a lovely owner who took the time to explain the menu to us in English (despite it being the busy lunchtime rush!) He cooks all the food as well and you can tell he's really proud about making you feel welcome. 17.50 euros for unlimited cold starters, a main dish, and unlimited puddings/ice cream from the fridge.

The rooms aren’t clean, dump and makes one feel like being locked in the garage with the toilets along the corridor… Even a student accommodations are done more to a level, absolutely not to stay even for a short night after long journey. Not recommended.

Delicious food, fast and friendly service, my husband and I have eaten here many times and every time it’s SO delicious - I’ve had the magret de canard nearly every time it’s simply too good to miss, the buffet is also excellent with lots of impressive homemade choices. Bravo l’Escale Gourmande on vous aime!

We arrived quite late for lunch and we're a little confused as to what we were ordering, which was our fault for not speaking better french. The owner/manager (a very happy cheeky chap) advised us what was available and we ordered 4 main meals with drinks. At €80/90 I thought it was a little expensive However we then realised that the cost included buffet style starters and desserts with bottles of water and a basket of bread. To top this off the food was amazing, real home cooked, tasty food including home cooked chips/fries. What was meant to be a 30 minute lunch stop, ending up lasting nearly 2 hours. The shepherds pie was just perfect. Thank you all for an amazing lunch, we will definitely stop by on our next trip to the area. X visited 27/7/23

Called in for lunch and a warm welcome too, the food was very good, a hot and cold all you can eat buffet.
