It is a beautiful old town and free to visit. Just pay for the parking outside of the town. It was very cold April day for us but it was still full of visitors. We had a luch inside the town and price is really reasonable for such a hot tourist area. Back side of the town and the wall are charged for admission.

A spectacular sight. One of the finest medieval sites in the world. Pay to walk the ramparts - it’s worth it. A beautiful place to walk and absorb the history.

An absolutely fabulous experience and well worth the visit. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment. What a beautiful place it was. Very clean with lots of bars restaurants & shops to explore when inside the walls. A MUST DO visit.

Fabulous medieval castle nice walk along the river from Camping de la cite Carcassonne to the castle. Loads of restaurants, ice cream parlours cafe's and memorabilia shops. We did the main Keep and Wall walk for €19 which was reasonable. We allowed 4-6 hours to see it all.

Amazing walled city with extensive inner and outer walls. Also a great old town inside the walls and outside the walls. Get your tickets online so that you don’t have to queue for tickets. The outer wall is quite long so be prepared.

I’m the middle of no where, located on our drive to Bordeaux, this was definitely worth the stop! Decent parking that is reasonably priced, paid through a kiosk on site. Plenty of shops and eateries to meet everyone’s needs. History!!

Gorgeous gorgeous castle. In the four days I was in the city I went to the castle about 5 times. Very pretty from any angle and any side street. And the inside of the castle is stunning. Definitely recommend to visit at any time of the day. I didn’t get a chance to experience it but I was told by a local friend that it presents spectacular sunset views (from the west side of the castle obviously). Great history and amazing architectural structure.
