A truly romantic and unforgettable stay. The setting was absolutely stunning and made the whole experience feel special from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was peaceful and impressive, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A beautiful place that leaves a lasting impression.

We had the most amazing stay here for our ‘mini-moon’. The château itself is absolutely stunning, with the most beautiful views that made it feel really special and memorable. Our room was in the turret, which felt so unique, and having private access to the terrace at the top was such a highlight. The views from up there were incredible. The staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel really welcome, and the breakfast had a great selection to start the day off well. It truly felt like the perfect place to celebrate after our wedding, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special and memorable getaway.

4 months ago, my fiancé and I decided to plan a wedding in France. We didn't know where, just that we wanted a castle where all our guests could stay. A google search led me to Château de La Côte. Though more remote than initially expected, it by far exceeded our expectations. |The grounds were simply stunning and the rooms charming. The food was INCREDIBLE. We were never hungry (I was afraid the portions would be a bit small for the typical American appetite, but not at all). The staff was lovely and helpful as the majority of us were non-French speakers. |Some guests were initially concerned as it was July and being that it's a castle, there's no a/c, but the rooms had great cross-breezes and some even had fans. ||My only complaint is that we weren't able to stay longer. This was a truly. memorable experience for everyone who was there and I hope that some day we can all make it back.

We got a reasonable deal on Booking.com for this place. The chateau itself looks fabulous. First downside was that we arrived at 1520 and reception was closed and we had to wait til 1600 to check in. We walked round the grounds in the meantime which was pleasant enough. When we finally got access to our room, we found we were in the gatehouse (Le Relais), back down the drive from the chateau. The building was attractive, however, our room on the ground floor was a bit disappointing. With a bit more effort and /or a better quality of fixtures, it could have been a very nice room. No valance on the bed, loose skirting board trim, no sealant in bathroom/ toilet around sanitary goods, cheap/ chipped laminate flooring. The room had potential but instead seemed skimped on especially with the very thin towels. OK for one night not more. Dinner at the chateau was good.

Just had 3 days at this wonderful chateau.Stayed in room 14 which was huge with fantastic views and an enormous bathroom. If you are expecting 5 star decor and air conditioning then look to stay somewhere else. The hotel is a wonderful old building with all the quirks that come with an old building, luckily the heatwave had passed so the room temperature was fine. Staff were attentive and friendly and the room was good value. Breakfast was perfectly adequate as a self serving buffet. Dinner was pricey but fine although we only ate there once as we prefer to eat in Brantome. The hotel grounds are very pleasant and would certainly be happy to stay there again. Would be nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

We recently stayed at the hotel for my Aunts wedding. First and foremost I have to commend and mention the great service that was provided by the staff. In particular Elodie and Tommie were amazing. Super helpful and patient when things became stressful. The Chateau looked picture perfect from the outside however the rooms were quite dated. The beds for the children were missing slats causing them to fall through the bed during the night. The grounds were extremely well kept and the food was excellent the whole weekend. It was quite annoying however during the day as all staff left the premises between 11-4pm. It was also quite far out from any facilities so you definitely need a car to get access to food for lunch.

Apart from the food, our experience of this 3 * hotel was average. Admittedly we only went to this Chateau because of the chef, whose food we had experienced before. And as expected the food, choice, presentation and taste was excellent. We had a Superior Suite, but apart from the space, it was not very superior. Not the most comfortable suite, 1 easy chair available in a suite for up to 4 people. Not even a bottle of water provided. The bath was run for 10 minutes, less that 100mm of water in the bath. We appreciate the chateau is 600 years old, but the price was far more than I would have been willing to pay for this accomdation, had I known what was offered.
