We had a wonderful stay at Auberge de la Paix and would highly recommend it! The hotel staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, which made our experience even better. The location is excellent for exploring the old city on foot - you can easily walk everywhere. We dined at the hotel restaurant on our first evening and the raclette dinner was delicious. Our room was comfortable, though there is noise from the alley at night if you sleep with windows open. With windows closed, it’s perfectly quiet. Overall, the combination of great location, friendly service, and good dining makes this a wonderful choice for anyone wanting to explore the area.

Some mixed reviews on here recently but we really enjoyed our stay. It’s just about the only place to stay in the Old Town and we loved being at the heart of the action. A little old fashioned but that’s part of the charm. Staff friendly and helpful, including sorting a taxi for us on departure. Ate in the restaurant one of our two nights and the food was very good.

I had a lovely stay in this charming old town hotel! It is located inside of a fortress. The rooms were clean and had a delightful old-style decor that added to the ambiance. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made a big difference during my visit. They assisted us with directions, provided bus schedules, and even offered coupons for the city bus, which was a nice touch. Just a heads up, there is no elevator since it's an older building, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Also, the reception has a lunch break from 12 to 2 PM, so it's best to plan your arrival accordingly. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to others looking for a memorable stay in a beautiful historic area!

Super cosy hotel & restaurant ! Great service, restaurant has a great and delicious menu, bedrooms are very nice and clean, perfect location in the center of old town. The new owner Mr Chollet is amazing ! We will be back next summer !!

Solo travelling by bike. I figured a hotel there would easily allow me to store my bike in my room. It was "forbidden." Bike storage is across town they told me. After some conversation they allowed me to store it in the basement. Felt very dismissed at my dismay, and checking out I was met with the same rudeness. If you're riding something light and dear to you, find a different hotel. My front carbon wheel sustained some scratches. This aside, the room was clean and comfortable.

Stayed here a night whilst walking the GR5. Staff were super friendly, the room was clean, the shower was excellent. We had dinner in the restaurant and had a yummy Raclette. Situated in the centre of the beautiful old town. There was quite a lot of noise in the room but I had earplugs so slept ok. It was very hot in the room overnight.

A very cosy hotel right in the historical Vauban city. Rooms are small and a bit outdated, but the staff is very friendly. Great breakfast. The restaurant was a positive experience and not expensive. Restaurant staff was also very attentive. Will stay here again if we get the chance.

Wonderful location in the old town. The standard rooms are small but have everything you need and good showers. The hotel restaurant is excellent.
