Very nice resort. The apartments are a bit old. The pool area is fantastic and we enjoyed the surrounding small villages. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We were here for one week in June. We were a bit worried about the lack of reviews but found when we arrived that it was a new hotel. Everything was immaculate and clean. We had the studio room with the tiny kitchen area but it was adequate as we spent a lot of time touring and not in the room. With hindsight I think the one bedroom would have been better just to have a sitting area but it wasn't a big problem. The manager Stephanie is so friendly and can't do enough for the guests she seemed to be on reception all day every day! The pool is quite small but adequate for cooling off. The only disappointing thing was the lack of wifi in the rooms, we had to keep going to reception, but we were told they are hoping to solve that problem shortly. This is an ideal location to stay as only 4 km from Cannes and many other wonderful places to visit on the Côte d'Azur.
Lovely site with very comfortable accommodation. The site is superb and the only down side is it's distance from a major trunk route. Or rather the time it takes to get anywhere. Ideal if you want to stay on site and enjoy the weather. Lovely pool and spa with restaurant. It is at least 45 minutes away from any beach resort along a very twisting and undulating road. Not ideal if you want to do any sight seeing along the Cote de Azur.
This was the third time that we have stayed at this resort. The previous two had been very good. The resort is operated and managed by Lagrange and it has a mixture of villas and town houses. I am not sure what has happened since last summer but the standards have slipped significantly. The check in was a nightmare and took us 45 minutes. Previously they had multi lingual staff at the check in who were pleasant and very helpful. This year the staff were rude, off hand and most unhelpful. I didn't remember them from last year so can only assume they are new but I had the feeling I knew more about the resort than they did. Our accommodation was clean but the outside space was completely over grown so not really usable. I tried to speak with the resort manager about our garden but she was unhelpful adn nothing got done. We intended to use the restaurant but met another English couple who had just ate there and said that the service was awful so we booked a meal outside of the domaine. The children's play area was full of rocks and littered with dog muck so we wouldn't allow our daughter there to play. We walked around the Domaine and it looked as if all the hedges and gardens were over grown with the exception of a few villas that look as if they are permanently occupied. We looked at a couple of the empty villas and the pools were full of leaves so couldn't imagine that they were usable. I appreciate it was early in the season but the resort was quite busy but not presented in a good light at all.||I cant seen us rushing back there which is disappointing as our previous visits had been good.
Our villa was clean and everything we expected. There were many Dutch families and children from young to young adults. The food was not great. I would not recommend any meal plans, as you will probably choose to dine elsewhere. The playground was a bit run-down and quite quiet and a bit sad.||||If you want a place to take your family where the kids can be entertained by the other kids, this is a good location. However, it helps tremendously if they are young children if they speak Dutch or French to make friends.
There is a pool. We got a 2 bedroom unit with A/C. Pets allowed. Units are relatively modern and clean. The bed for the adults is very small. A/C unit keep the place cool. Area is a bit noisy but is quiet from around midnight. Pool area is just OK - a bit old and too few sun beds. We only found available sun beds 40% of the times we went to the pool.
Our family has been coming here several times over the past 10 years, always renting a villa. During the past years, the domaine has gone a long way down. Villas really need renovation & proper clean up (eg beds are no longer comfortable & quite disgustingly dirty), green areas were overgrown, swimming pools dirty (before the villa yards used to be pretty and well taken care of & the pool was cleaned once a week, not anymore). The rental price has been increasing every year, but the service and quality has slipped down significantly. It's a shame, because otherwise Fayence as a location is very nice and beautiful. Also this time we suffered from our neighbours who were having parties, inviting several people over & listening to disturbing loud music at night. In my opinion, this kind of behaviour should be somehow managed by the resort staff, and visitors who are paying for thousands of euros for their stay should not need to worry about that. Will not come back again.
My husband and have spent a week here in fayence...it has been very peaceful and just a all around nice place to stay, and because we came in Sept. It has not been as expensive as in July and Aug. The pool here is very big and kept up well. We were very close to things to visit such as Frejus, Nice, Grasse. The people here are very friendly. The one thing I was dissappointed in was the restaurant and bar were closed...
