Metz Cathedral is simply breathtaking ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An awe-inspiring masterpiece that leaves you genuinely speechless the moment you step inside. The sheer scale and grandeur are remarkable, but what truly captivates is the extraordinary stained glass—light pours in with the most magical colours, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere. Every detail reflects elegance, history, and artistry at the highest level. It’s a place where one feels both humbled and inspired. A truly magnificent landmark—an absolute must-visit in Metz.

Saint Etienne de Metz Cathedral is one of the most beautiful ones in France to us. We were the only tourist group visiting it in the morning so we had plenty of time to expkore and admire its timeless charming beauty. After visiting the cathedral, we were enjoyably walking along the old and peaceful streets of Metz. A feeling that money could not buy!

Amazing cathedral in the center of Metz. It’s giant, free entry and there’s a lot to see. The detail, like any other cathedral, is exquisite. In the nighttime, they light up the exterior of the cathedral, which looks amazing. You can see it all the way from the A31. Definitely a must visit when in Metz. During Christmas, it can get extremely busy in the area. Arriving in the late afternoon means parking outside the center.

An absolutely beautiful cathedral with stunning architecture. Free to enter and such a great place to stop by if you are visiting Metz.

Visited during an evening walk in Metz. The cathedral itself is impressive, but the mapping show turns it into something truly magical. Light, music, and visuals completely transform the facade — it feels alive, dramatic, and almost unreal. Standing there at night, surrounded by people and watching the projections dance across the cathedral is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended to plan your visit after dark — arrive a bit early, find a good spot, and just let yourself be impressed

We explored this castle on a Sunday evening and it was a delight. So much rich history and many of the stained glass stories included them in English.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I’ve ever visited. The stained glass windows are incredible, especially the ones by Chagall – they really stand out. The cathedral is huge and full of light, and you can feel the history as soon as you walk in. It’s free to enter, which is great, and it’s right in the centre of Metz so it’s easy to visit while walking around the old town. Definitely worth seeing if you’re in Metz, even just to sit inside for a few minutes and take in the atmosphere.

It is a beautiful walkabout with cobbled streets and two large stunning churches. A little shopping and a wonderful inside market that is not to be missed.
