LA CARIBEENNE DU BATIMENT ET TRAV PUBLIC

I travelled all the way from London and wanted to try some authentic caribbean food. This Bokit was the best i’ve ever had!!! I had the chicken bokit, with accras, sweet potato fries, plantain, and coconut sorbet. Everything on the menu is incredible and would recommend for everyone to try. The best caribbean food in Lyon! We had the best service from Anita and can’t wait to come back again.

Very good food, great service with halal options

We went to this restaurant last week after reading the story about the chef, which is helping the community.My husband wanted jerk chicken wings so we chose that place. We have a translation app so we can communicate in French.our waiter said he spoke English but he didn’t. biggest problem was he had no idea what was on the menu. With his guidance we ordered a larger plate to share that comes with multiple things and verified that it includes jerk chicken wings. When we got the food, he had no idea what each dish was and couldn’t tell us and went back n forth with chef inside to figure it out. When we asked about the jerk chicken we initially wanted he said it’s coming. Well, 15 minutes later he brought the exact same big platter as first time. We told him we didn’t order it and he said you can take it home. He wouldn’t say he made a mistake and keeps saying we’ll eat more or I will pack it for you. My husband realized the waiter made a mistake so we said we will pay the extra 45 euros but we are in hotel and can’t take it home. We saw a table next to us with teenagers and we told the waiter to offer it to them because we didn’t want to throw it in trash. Waiter said that table already ordered food. After 10 mins we realized he lied and that table didn’t order food. In the end, our 45 euros platter came with 2 sets of deserts. We offered one dessert tray to table next to us who gladly accepted. When we paid the bill, waiter said sorry for mistake and took the money but didn’t give us the food he packed. My husband asked for food and he got it for us. On the way out, we gave it to the teenagers, they accepted and thanked us many times. Biggest problem is the dishonesty and lying. We didn’t mind paying extra because we thought he made a mistake but to lie multiple times is unethical. We Will not return and will share this experience with our friends in Lyon.

With a soothing ambience, tasty Caribbean cuisine and good customer service, this nice restaurant live up to it name. I enjoy the goat (rice and peas side) dish and would recommend it.

This is the first time I've eaten this type of food, and it's also the delicious!!!

Great food! The employees were also all very sweet. I had a Caribbean bowl (which was gluten free and very flavorful) and a citronnade. Would definitely go again!
