SCI BAC

I have been an alumni of said school for a period covering 4 years in the electronic specialty. After all those years in the professional environment my opinion on the teachings of this school are poor, very poor. I can't be tasked to design a proper electronic circuit nor analog nor digital at all, reason why I quickly branched off to computer science. The teachers are not all serious nor have a good idea of what is useful to teach, are not particularly didactic in their teaching. I am working in Reinforcement Learning at present time and I can recall having one lesson over statistics in my first year there. Unfortunately even if the teacher was probably competent in his field he was not competent in teaching. I had to learn statistics back from the ground up. In a nutshell what is wrong about that school: 1/ You are not given the formation you came for. 2/ Many teachers just don't know how to teach their alumnis 3/ They need to pull out a coherent program which starts from that iterates over the subject coherently starting from the base. Contextualizing the courses in the formation. 4/ Get in touch with the evolution of their fields. On a more personal touch I would add the following opinion: 1/ Too much foreigners coming in this engineering school. I recall there was something between a third to half the students in my major being foreigners. I think putting this school back on the rail is the challenge to be adressed. I doubt they will have the shoulder to fix it.
