Great access to the park, really helpful and friendly staff (including maintenance who came to fix the aircon!) and a great theme. Staff are all on point and in character, on arrival we mentioned the hotel only to be told "Sir, this is not merely a hotel, it is a luxury cruise liner!". All bags are scanned so it feels very secure. Pool is great to cool off in if the weather is hot. Standard room had 2 double beds and plenty of room for two adults and two kids. Consider the Compass Club as the lounge access and snacks may be worth it when you look at the cost and it would feel very special. Standard booking still felt pretty luxurious though. All in all a great hotel in a great location.
The rooms at Newport Bay Club are spacious and tastefully decorated, echoing the nautical theme with a subtle Disney twist. Comfortable beds, modern amenities, and delightful Disney details make each stay special and relaxing.
Externally this is a fantastic looking hotel, that is about the only positive for me... Internally I found the hotel to look quite run down and dated. Especially the rooms and walk ways to the rooms. The sheer size of this hotel is a disadvantage unfortunately. After walking for miles and miles all day. The last thing you want is to be walking another mile to get to your room with young children. Maybe we were unlucky with the room we were allocated. But it was the furthest possible room away from entrance that there could have been... There was also no fridge in the room (nearly all the hotels I have stayed at have fridges). The room was not fully cleaned with rubbish still on the floor when we arrived. The balcony door handle felt broken. The shower was very poor with low pressure. And we had flies nesting in the sink. The coffee machine was also broken which we asked reception to rectify and they never did. The breakfast is below 4 star standard in comparison to everywhere else I have ever stayed and the selection of food is poor. The table service to clean the tables was also very slow. If you don't pre check in online like we did then you could be waiting in a very long queue as the check in queues were extremely long. On check out day the luggage drop off is also very slow with large queues and waiting. The hotel locations is still a long walk from the Disneyland parks if you have been walking all day and have young children with you. Overall I would not pick this hotel again. I would definitely pick the Marvel hotel if I could go back as the location is much better and the cost was very similar. For me the only reason I didn't give this hotel 1 star is because it looks outstanding from the outside, especially when lit up at night. It has so much potential to be great but is far from it unfortunately.
I booked a stay at Disney Newport Bay Club from May 28th–30th, and it was a highly disappointing experience.||||Unusable AC & Poor Response: The air conditioning in our room was completely broken during a period of high temperatures. After multiple complaints, the maintenance team never showed up on the first night because they weren't answering the phones, forcing us to sleep in extreme discomfort. The next day, after endless follow-ups, they admitted they couldn't fix it and gave us fans instead. We weren't the only ones—several other guests were complaining and given fans too.||||Terrible Room Location: Avoid the 2300 or 3300 series rooms. They are incredibly far from the main entrance, exits, and amenities. We were traveling with an 80+ year-old relative, making these long walks completely unsuitable and exhausting.||||Lack of Basic Amenities: The hotel does not provide bottled water in the rooms, even if you are willing to pay for it. You have to hunt down a water dispenser located far away. ||||Furthermore, room service is virtually non-existent for a 4-star property. When we requested extra cutlery, the reception told us to get it from the restaurant/bar, but the restaurant staff then refused to give it to us.||||Unhelpful Staff: The staff felt robotic, offering standard scripts like "we will look into it" without taking action. For example, we were told maintenance would arrive in 20 minutes for the AC, but it took over 1.5 hours and multiple reminders.||||The Parks: Visiting the park felt like a gamble. Many shows were either canceled or under maintenance. Queue lines for main attractions were consistently over 60 minutes, and even if you wanted to pay for a skip-the-line pass, the available time slots were 2 to 3 hours out.||||Verdict: If you are an international traveler, do not waste your time and money here. There are far better ways to spend your vacation.
Let's start with the staff. Super super friendly and welcoming. We were able to check in almost 2 hours early. Stayed in the superior room and l think they were lovely and well stocked. They were clean and cute. Great shower. Aircon worked.
Extremely disappointed with our experience at Newport Bay Club Hotel. We arrived at approximately 2:00 PM on 24 May 2026 during a special birthday trip for my daughter. She was feeling unwell and needed to rest before we continued our visit to Disneyland Paris. After waiting in a very long queue for around 30–minutes, we were told that no rooms were available and that we should leave our luggage and wait for an email confirming our room number. We were specifically advised not to return to reception before receiving the email. The shocking part was that the email did not arrive until 8:20 PM. We therefore spent over six hours waiting without access to our room, despite paying a premium price to stay at a Disney hotel. As a result, my daughter was unable to rest when she needed to, and we lost a significant part of our holiday. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of empathy and support shown to a family travelling with an unwell child. I understand that hotels can be busy, but waiting more than six hours for a room after arrival is simply unacceptable. This was by far the worst hotel check-in experience I have ever had. Unfortunately, despite the hotel’s good location and appearance, this experience left a very negative impression, and I would not choose to stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location is perfect, both Disney parks are within walking distance, which makes everything so much easier and more enjoyable. A special thank you to Bruno, who helped us during check-in. He was friendly, welcoming, and took the time to recommend things to us, we even had a lovely chat. All of the reception staff were incredibly helpful, attentive, and always had a smile on their faces, which really set the tone for our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, which we really appreciated after long days in the parks. Even though there was a long queue at check-in, the process itself was efficient and moved quickly, so it didn’t feel like a long wait. If you’re looking for a hotel with excellent service, a beautiful lake view, and close proximity to the parks, this is a great choice. As for some of the negative comments about queues and waiting during check-in—it’s worth keeping things in perspective. This is one of the busiest hotels in Europe, located at Disneyland, where thousands of guests arrive every day, often with kids and lots of luggage. Some waiting is simply part of the experience. If you come prepared for that, it’s really not an issue. Overall, a great stay with standout service and an unbeatable location.
Hotel well maintained. Gardens maintain and pillars were painted when we arrived. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were fine. Wallpaper could use updating though. Parks neat and clean. A lot of maintenance is being done and they are working on making it even more beautiful and bigger. We will go again next year.
