ENTREVAUX ELEC

The citadelle requires a steep ascent, which is circa 0.5miles total distance. At the top you’ll get great views of the town and valley. However, we found the citadelle itself to be in need of attention. It was clear it had previously been well maintained with exhibits and paintings etc. but when we visited lots of it was in disrepair and/or was sealed off and inaccessible. Entry was 5€ per person.

Be prepared for a very steep hike but the end is so worth it. Amazing history, incredible views!! Please wear the correct shoes...I saw an older lady in heels really struggling. Costs 3€ 😀

Beautiful viewpoint and perfect starting point for few different hikes in the surrounding area

High above village to guard it. Very steep walk (about 30 min up). Breathtaking views of the Var river and valley and of the village below. Entry 34hr with token (3€ per adult). Best to walk when not hot. There is a different path from town, as well as various walikinh paths from top. Maintenance is by locals.

There is a good hiking route from the top back down which will takes some hours. We didn't meet anyone along the way apart from 2 donkeys and a wild bore.

Incontournable si vous vous arrêtez à Entrevaux. Bien sûr la montée est un peu rude (15-20 min) et il vaut mieux éviter les sandales... mais la vue sur le village médiéval et la vallée est superbe.
