FABRE LENICK

Phenomenal French dinner in downtown Cayenne. We made reservations in advance as was advised and glad that we did because there was not a single seat open. Spectacular food from appetizer through desert, rounded out with a carefully curated wine menu. They were able to accommodate our lack of French speaking easily enough, and treated us like family with a phenomenal spread. I had the zebu for the first time and it was delicious. Very quaint and posh atmosphere inside, it’s a must visit when in French Guyana.

Paris-Cayenne is a landmark of French Guiana's fine dining scene, under the guise of a gastro-pub. Although they rarely update their menu, it always is a pleasure.

Best restaurant in Cayenne by far. Nice food and great athmosphere.

We visited this restaurant with delicious food with a group of five. The ambiance was also very nice, but the attitude of our head waitress was unfortunately not appropriate. There was no effort made to speak English or make us feel welcome. One person in the group did speak French and could translate, but the waitress attitude was ‘annoyed’. Our head waitress did not show a smile once and seemed irritated when we asked questions about the menu. She answered but she gave off a ‘just hurry up and order already’ vibe. One person in our group is vegetarian and could indeed choose from two vegetarian options, but there was a lack of protein in the dishes. When inquiring about the possibilities, there was no show of effort to accommodate by offering to ask the chef for some added source of protein or whatsoever. Drinks and desserts were luckily brought by friendly staff. Did not speak English either, but a smile takes you a long way! We decided not to let the head waitress take away our enjoyment of the lovely meals, desserts and cocktails, but I decided to write a review. Also for the owner of this restaurant. Paris Cayenne is really a nice place with great food; the staff should match this standard.
