We celebrated our wedding reception and meal at the restaurant. We took the nine course menu, it was incredible! From the cocktails to the dessert and everything in between. The restaurant also allowed us to take some wedding photos in the garden/ restaurant. I highly recommend spending special occasions here and enjoy their beautiful garden. Thank you for everything!!
Michelin award restaurant..excellent taste and well prepared. Even have a vegetarian set dinner. Strongly recommended
Indeed worthy of the Michelin star. Food 5/5 The creamy mushroom tart from the amuse-bouche was already off to a great start and put us in a good mood. The presentation and execration of every course was excellent. My favorite was the pigeon course, which was so juicy and gentle and flavorful. I also loved the scallop course, which was as visually stunning as it was delicious. (However, the decorative juniper berry bushes did poke and hurt me.) My only criticism would be that the portion of the ratatouille course was slightly too large, given how many courses there are. My mom and I were both too full towards the end and couldn’t finish the dessert. Speaking of dessert, I adore the restaurant’s commitment in sourcing good/unique ingredients. For the meadow flower used in the dessert, apparently, the chef would take a few ppl from the team to hike up a mountain to collect them twice a week during the summer. They’d get depart at 4am and get there at 6am. The chef would also bring some ham and cheese and have a picnic with the team afterwards. They’d dry several kilos of the flower each season, enough to last them through the winter. Apparently, they’d gather wild lavender sometimes too. I’m glad that I asked about the flowers and got this interesting story! Service 4.8/5 First of all, this place is very English-friendly! Our waitress also told us “I wrote this menu in English for you”, which made it sound like she prepared an English menu just for us right there and then. If that’s the case, then I’m very impressed and really appreciate it. Everyone there was very friendly—i especially loved one guy’s enthusiasm when he explained our course to us (he also told us the flower story). My only complaint would be that the wait between courses was a bit long sometimes. And, for some reason, many people came later than us but finished earlier. (Maybe they all ordered a shorter menu?) We arrived at 7pm and left at about 10:45pm. Atmosphere 4.5/5 The entrance with the
I feel I should diminish the number of stars on previous reviews of other restaurants. Le Fantin Latour changed my opinions on excellence. I had lunch in the garden and I was blown away by the perfection and complexity of everything. The terrine de champignons was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I enjoyed the service and the ambiance as well. For the quality, the price was very reasonable.
The gift of my birthday. Thanks for the French restaurant experience. The service is nice. When the waiter explained the food to us, it seems that she is telling us stories. And the environment is comfortable. Especially we needn’t choose the food, it is all with surprise:)
I tried the Brasserie experience (not Michelin restaurant inside). The entry and the desert were spectacular while the main dish kind of disappointed me a bit since I had very high expectations. Although i enjoyed very much the terrace and the food.
Thank you for the most breathtaking night! We had an absolutely lovely dinner thanks to the professional yet friendly team and needless to say, the food was superb! Let me start with the setting - the building and decorum is very beautiful, if I were to describe it, fairies and magical creatures would live here. The service was perfect, we did notice that there aren't many younger people there, from what we saw there were more people in their mid 20s and above or let's say established people as their clientele that night, so we appreciate that they treated us just as nice and respectful. It's hard to pick a favorite meal as they were all very delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned, but I guess the most impactful or memorable ones would be the Ratatouille printanière - the vegetables were very colorful, it brings a smile to ones face looking at the dish. Each one had a different profile and it was fun to mix and match, to eat on its own or to pair it with the wine. The textures were also magnificent! Afterwards, the Verre rafraichissant was served at a perfect moment, it still lingers on my palate thanks to the perfect combination of cardamom, cucumber and strawberries. Last but not least, the main meal, 'Côte de veau' was very buttery, tender and exquisite. You can tell that it was made with great care, it didn't had any gamey taste or odour and it literally melts in your mouth with a hazelnut aftertaste. It's not as heavy as usual potatoes, spinach and meat in butter would be. The two different breads, butter and desert were also very very good!! 100% recommended, it's well worth the money and time.
My first time at the brasserie Fantin Latour for lunch, it was an exceptional experience with dishes that were tastefully presented. The taste of each new dish was exceptionally curated with local ingredients, picked by the chef himself in the Alps. There was a story about the chef mountain climbing every Monday to collect some herbs, it added to the charm of the place. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere even though we were in the first room near the entrance with lots of people coming in and out. I'll come back for more
